"I have always considered it as treason against the great republic of human nature, to make any man's virtues the means of deceiving him." - Samuel Johnson

The citizens of Israel have virtues; the citizens of Islam do not!

Get out of town as often as you can and stay in close touch with your parents which I am sure you will do! God Bless!

I believe that many in the DNC and their associates in organizations like ACORN and SEIU should be prosecuted under the RICO Act!

If GW had not been such a wimp, he would have placed the blame where it belonged; on 'Colon' Powell and Richard Armitage! It is a real shame that he and Karl Rove let Libby take the rap. I saw a complete lack of integrity and lost all my respect for both of them. The self-aggrandizing Novak was equally guilty. As far as the Wilsons; I suspect they will continue to suffer the opprobrium of the American people!

Where is her cohort in Congress, Gregory Meeks? I believe he is also up to his ears in corruption! As Plato said, "We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light."

Are you afraid of the light ,Gregory?

I believe that J.D. Hayworth will be a stand-up Conservative in the Senate and have a greater impact on policy by being 1 of 100 instead of 1 of 435. Besides, McCain has had 28 years to show his mettle, and he failed. The old-school-country club Republicans like McCain and Hatch, who won't fight for 'Principles', need to be retired! Also, the editors at NR need to reevaluate their 'Principles.'

The leadership of the Republican Party is devoid of Conservatives! But that is going to change!

Thank you for the erudite analysis. “Man is a tame or civilized animal; nevertheless, he requires proper instruction and a fortunate nature, and then of all animals he becomes the most divine and most civilized; but if he be insufficiently or ill- educated he is the most savage of earthly creatures.” - Plato

Islam has created the most savage of earthly creatures!

Radicals from the other side? Do you mean patriotic Americans who are willing and able to stand-up and oppose anarchy and intimidation? Where are you going to be; hiding under your bed?

"If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home and leave us in peace. We seek not your council, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our country men." - Speech at the Philadelphia State House, August 1, 1776 by Samuel Adams

Fortunately, there are many who will fight to maintain liberty for their children! The New Black Panties be damned!

“Shame on the men who can court exemption from present trouble and expense at the price of their own posterity's liberty!” – Samuel Adams

Those self-aggrandizing politicians and judges who push for citizenship for illegal aliens by misinterpreting the 14th Amendment are exactly the reprobates Samuel Adams was referring to. Illegal means illegal and the children of such are also illegal! Only the simple minded and intellectually perverted could support a different understanding! The future for a free America is at risk!

Interesting article David, but the unqualified premises you use to establish your conclusions makes me want to inquire about the ideological bubble that has been predominate in your life. And why would anyone refer to the article in the New Republic as “a great piece?” Just as you have, they use general facts to draw syllogistic conclusions.

More importantly, however, is what do you have against Ayn Rand and Murray Rothbard, and why do you say that Rand Paul will lie? BTW, Rothbard’s book “The Case Against the Fed” is very enlightening! Perhaps also you don’t have a very favorable opinion of von Mises, Hayek, or Friedman! Just wondering.

Further, conservatives don’t need to answer any questions about Rand Paul or anyone else, but if you would like to have an intellectual discussion you need to present intellectual points or arguments.

As Pascal wrote: “Truth is so obscured nowadays and lies so well established that unless we love the truth we shall never recognize it.” (Pensees 739)

God Bless America!
