Ragamuffin Soul : Hairy Saul

Seriously?!! You shave your arms?? Oh, man. I have a college aged friend (read: much younger) who shaves his arms, which I find totally amusing and ridiculous. I had never heard of a guy doing such - outside of sports. You shave your arms?? I can't stop shaking my head.

Ragamuffin Soul : If you love sneakers, creativity, and history, click play.

Dang - when I read the title, my brain filled in "Snickers" for sneakers. I love the history & creativity that revolves around chocolate & peanuts.

Michael Hyatt Blog : Answers to the Top 10 Twitter Objections

I'm glad you added #1 - when I took the poll I felt like this one was missing. For me, part of the challenge is that I don't have a good sales pitch regarding Twitter. When I feebly try to explain it, I get dead-pan expressions in return. "You just have to try it!" doesn't seem to suffice either! I recently told my husband that "Twitter is my love language"! As another commenter mentioned, I love knowing what my husband is doing or listening to or thinking about when he's at work or just in the other room. And countless times my girlfriends and I been able to come to each other's rescue because of a Twitter post (e.g. "I really need some chocolate" or "I will not be receiving the Mom of the Day award."). It enhances my prayer life as I receive little reminders all day of what is happening around the world. In that sense, it has helped me become less self-centered, rather than more.

For a while I just ignored those incoming bots - hey, they make my follower number go up, right?? [vanity, vanity...] But after perusing my followers & following lists one day, I began taking the simple step of blocking these users. It is only when a bunch of people block a user that Twitter investigates & potential removes those users.

Ragamuffin Soul : Does Your Spouse Know Who You Think Is Hot?

We do share openly about our attraction to other people. We joke around about it ("Get your eyes back on the road, buddy!") - and have serious conversations about it ("I have lunch scheduled alone with my co-worker tomorrow. I want you to know that I am in no way attracted to her. But I also want you to know for accountability."). If I know who he is attracted to and what his temptations are, we can talk about it openly and shine light into potentially dark places. This is especially true is one of us is traveling or otherwise away from the other. "Any hot girls staying at your hotel?" "Well, there's this one brunette, but she's too short for my taste." Once he knows that I know about that brunette, he will steer way clear of her. And it goes the other way as well. If he knows the guys that I think are emotionally or physically attractive, I am less likely to allow myself to engage in any inappropriate way with that person - either in real life or in fantasy.

Ragamuffin Soul : Did You Grow Up In Church?

From a multi-generational Church of Christ family (for those who don't know or care - CoC are the a'cappella cousins to Christian Church & Disciples of Christ). Love the heritage - warts and all.

Ragamuffin Soul : I Wish I Had Hair

I love looking pregnant...when I am pregnant. Three years after pushing the last one out - not so much. Just tonight, Jeri, the homeless lady who gets our cans for recycling money, pointed at my belly - "so you having another one?" "Nope, Miss Jeri, I just look like it." sigh

Ragamuffin Soul : Obama For Your Mama

What will tomorrow mean to me? A lot of experiences that one recognizes as history being made in the moment aren't good ones (e.g. 9/11, Challenger). Tomorrow is thrilling because it is an important day in history that is one worth celebrating! This is a significant day in the history of our country, and I am extremely proud and thankful that we have journeyed at least this far. Tomorrow opens doors in the minds of thousands of young children to what their future can hold - and that excites me. Now for the day when half of the population is represented by the right gender in the highest office... :-)
