Why is it that they cannot deal with this in an honest, forthright way? Why do they have to deal with us by bashing us, instead just acknowledging the dissatisfaction for what it is? We need to replace every single one of the people that cannot deal us, their bosses, honestly.
I just tried to check this book out from the library. I am number 88 on the waiting list. They currently only have 5 copies, but they are ordering 16 more copies. Must be a great book, can't wait to read it. Unfortunately, even with the new books on order it will be 3 or 4 months before I get my crack.
I like this guy. I think he's moving in the right direction. If things keep going like they are I'm moving to Texas.
I really do not see what the deal is with not having a Columbus day. What he did opened the world to Western Culture. Now I know I am going to take a lot of flack for this, but that is my opinion. I don’t condone what was done in the name of spread Christianity. I do not agree with how the American Government has handled those who were here before us. Can we really blame Columbus. Look at the world that he lived in. The Spanish Inquisition was going on. They had no idea about human rights. Blaming Christopher Columbus for what happen 300 years after he set sail is like blaming Newton when something falls on your head due to gravity. Do I agree with how Columbus and those who followed him treated the Native Americans? No. But he did not have the benefit of the ideas of human rights and equality. We cannot judge ALL of the actions of those who went before us by our own standards. They did not have the exact same standards.
Nor is this illegal. This is not replacing the US dollar. As long as this is done within state boundaries there is nothing illegal about this. If they try to do this on a multi-state level then this becomes illegal.
This is not a bad thing. This is what happens when we try to solve our problems locally. This type of thing has been done repeatedly in American history. This is just a symptom of a much bigger problem. The problem is that the government is trying to control business. If we get the government out of business, let the economy reset itself, this all goes away.

This is not illegal either. As long as this is done locally it is not illegal. If they try to do this on a multi-state level then this becomes illegal. Until then it is just a way to stimulate local economy.
The big problem that we have to worry about is if the government tries to stop this from happening. Then we are in for real trouble. Then they are trying to control the economy on all levels. Then we get a socialist/fascist state. Then we have bread lines and rationing, and everything else that goes along with that sort of government.
No, this is not illegal. If it was illegal the government would have tried to stop it in the past, they never did that. The US dollar is the only nationally recognized currency. As long as this stays at the local level there is nothing illegal about this. If it goes multi-state then it becomes illegal, because then it is trying to replace the dollar. States are completely within their rights to have a currency that can be used along side the dollar, as long as it does not cross state line. This is only a move to stimulate local economy. It is a symptom of the larger problem. The real problem is the government getting involved in business. Get the government out of business, let the economy recover on its own, and this all goes away.
The real problem comes if the federal government takes steps to make this illegal. Because then they are trying to control the economy at all levels. Then we have a socialist/fascist state. Then we have bread line, and rationing, and everything else that goes with that form of government.
This is not a currency to replace the legal currency of the US. There is nothing illegal about this. It has been done over and over again throughout the history of the US. Everyone still has to accept US currency at these businesses. They are not trying to replace the dollar. They are trying to stimulate their economies. It only becomes illegal if they stop accepting US currency as legal tender and only accept the scrip. That is what the Confederacy did. They no longer accepted US dollars, they only accepted Confederate dollars.
THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT IS BAD. IT IS GOOD. This is how a problem is solved locally. Check your history, local communities have been doing this throughout the history of the US. It was done in the 1830’s and 1840’s, it was done during the Great Depression. Whenever the national economy goes bad local economies have to do something to keep themselves alive. This is just a symptom of the big problem. It’s like when you have bronchitis. Some of the symptoms are a fever and a cough. If you just treat the fever and the cough you will never get better. You have to get in and treat the infection in the lungs. Leave the local currency alone, it’s just a symptom. Treat the real problem. Get the government out of trying to run business.
