<DIV>No we should not wait until they have starved. In my opinion, when bills go unpaid and they are at risk of loosing their homes, they are then considered lower class. Until they have no other options, they should be classified as middle class citizens. </DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV>

Poverty cannot be defined so abroad. We need to take a step back and examine what poverty really is. Are people living in "middle class" receiving the lifestyle that others face everyday? No. Middle Class citizens are doing perfectly fine on their own. They still have full access to shelter as well as food and transportation. If one guardian was to loose his or her job, they would survive. If bills were left unpaid and income dropped dramatically leaving it impossible to provide for their families, they would then be considered lower class. To clarify, I define lower class as one without food or shelter on a regular basis. The government should provide funding to persons in "lower class" to insure survival. Middle class citizens will be perfectly fine without government funding. The world will not come to an end if such a thing should happen, and other countries would not frown upon it.
