The Market Trend : closed positions on BAC + 12.14% and Citigroup (C) 0.00%

Thanks MvW

I am stuck between using TWO trading methods at the moment and it is ripping me apart... I was lucky to get the 12% and I will take it...

I will post some charts later today...

One method is telling me that the Dow should find support at the monthly trend line.. with this method I use the daily, weekly and monthly prices as trend lines...

The other method which is based around fibonacci is telling me that the market has hit resistance...

As you can see... I am stuck in the middle on this one... so I think I might just sit out next week until I get a clear signal...

I am learning alot about exits and planning the trades at the moment so that is taking up a lot of my time....

I'm also reading "Trade your way to financial freedom" by Dr Van K Tharp .... great read... about the holy grail... Expectancy.... and so on and I'm learning a lot here also..

At the end of next week I should know where I am with my trading systems and from there I will be a lot happier about trading....

I have been following your blog... great results... well done...

Thanks for the comment as always MvW

Hi Jeff,

Yes I know mate... I should know better by now hey...

but this is it my friend no more changes or chasing wild horses...

My main focus now is a trading plan... I have never really used one before... I NEED ONE badly....

The trading plan will help me PLAN to trade... funny that.. but thats what i need... It will make me a better trader and pinpoint my weak spots... (many of them)...

Thanks for passing by Jeff and taking the time to comment...
Hi UrblowingMygame

If you have a system that sales why not sell it... everyone else does hey..

I cant speak for TIM Sykes but what I can say is that he makes around 80k per month just from his blog... not a bad return is it...

Me personally I love to trade... I\\\'m not looking to make money from my blog... I could make some $$$$$ if I want, but I want to keep my blog AD free...

And yes trading really is that simple... but people don\\\'t like simple do they... people need to think they are clever, so simple just doesn\\\'t cut it there eyes...

Thanks for the comment I\\\'m glad your a grown adult

Thanks Alex,

Yes I do realize that thanks but they are too SLOW...

By the time they give you an entry It could be time to exit and big money knows that. ...

if you use indicators your the ones buying when the big money is selling, thats why there will always be someone stupid enough to buy falling stocks...

All your doing is putting easy money in to the big boys pockets...

When you finally catch on to whats happened you start to sell your stock and the big money see this and purchases the stock cheaper again and then pushes the stock higher again.... it repeats again and again and again...

Indicators have you behind the eight ball everytime... do you realize that...

Yes there will be times when you can ride with the big boys... but there will be more times than not that your riding against them...

Thanks for the Comment Alex

The Market Trend : Dow Jones has produced a daily bullish breakout signal after pullback to monthly trend line... Up sh

Just an added note here about the post...

Maybe I'm just trying to hard here... I always seem to dive in at the deep end when I get a loss... I find losses hard to take and it's something I have to work on...

I am still up a great deal for April and the year as a whole... January and February where testing months... in march I had a little profit ...

I just need to sit back and wait for the signals again... the breakout we have now is well above the original breakout at the start of the rally so I could be asking for trouble if i enter a trade now... on the weekly chart the the price is @ the Resistance Fibonacci Retracement level of 61.8%...

The market will let me know when to trade.

I hope your all having a great weekend people

Hi Daphne

Options are tough, I use around 10% of my equity in an option trade... If it goes against me the 10% is the most I will lose... If the system is only correct 50% of the time it should still yield you a good profit over time..

Thats why I only really follow the Dow stocks because of the options and liquidity... meaning they are always easy to get rid off.. The last thing you want is your options showing you a profit and cant sell them.

Yes another C winner would be nice.... lets see what next week brings..

OrionSyndicate

Yes I do have some charts on AAPL and here they are

http://tinyurl.com/dy2zcl AAPL Weekly

http://tinyurl.com/c49kca AAPL Daily

Black Lines = Daily Signals
Blue Lines = Weekly Signals

AAPL weekly chart is only just down for the week so I would stand aside here.

AAPL daily chart has had an down day above the last upday (circled) which usually means that the stock could shoot up a little.

We should wait for 2 down days so we can go short or 2 updays so we can go long. But it all depends on how the weekly candle ends the week.

I wouldnt trade this stock long or short yet so I would stand aside... But that is up to you. Like I said the stock could jump a bit because of that down day being higher than the previous days high.

Thanks for the comment

Just an added note here.

1) If the weekly chart stays in the red I will not move the daily chart trend line.

2) This will allow for a good early rally short breakout signal if we get a down followed by another down day for confirmation.

This is what I call \\\"SHAMELESS SPECULATION\\\"

See you at the market open here

http://twitter.com/themarkettrend

and here

http://www.stocktwits.com/
