12 years ago @ Big Journalism - To those who want to kill the messenger, may I suggest that if this had not been exposed (sorry about that) by the new media including Mr. Breitbart, it may still be secret. Then suppose Congressman Wiener was truly hacked; say by the Chinese. Surely it can now be seen how he would have gone to any lengths to keep this under wraps, perhaps even selling out his own country. There was a story in the news last week that suggested that private Google Gmail accounts of some members of our government have been hacked, and that the hackings have been traced back to a Chinese military complex. I think that the congressman's defenders should rethink their position.

What I said was indeed a hypothetical; however, it should be a concern to us all.

12 years ago @ Big Government - What you call mackracking is actually what I consider a great service to the country. If the Congressman had not been exposed, he was open to real hackers, who could have blackmailed him into selling out his office. Something to think about, no?

Increasingly, all honest Americans have watched the shenanigans of the media in horror. In an era when congress finds times to hold hearings about steroids in baseball, is it too much to ask of this new incoming congress to legitimately hold the press accountable for their part in trying to destroy us from within? They should ask Brent Bozell to provide documentation showing what many of us consider the criminality of The New York Times, Washington times and Associated Press, and so many of the newscasters and their producers who are suppressing and manipulating news to the detriment of this great nation, and begin hearings as soon as the new congress is activated. May I humbly suggest that we all contact our congress person with this request?

I suspect that Forbin001's few words here were issued from millions of our lips here. If it's indeed going to require that we physically go to Washington, I'm afraid some people won't be satisfied simply beating on the doors. These people are no longer our representatives. They think they are our masters. "And I say to my people's masters...beware...!!!"
