I would want the entire thing to take place in the Empire State building. Start on the ground floor and then make your way through all 86 levels to the observation deck so you can see millions of zombies on the streets of New York below. Then the planes can fly around and a heli picks up the survivors. As they make their escape a boomer gets shot down like King Kong. End scene. :)
