"Against murder? Don't kill anyone."

Doesn't ring as well, does it?

This post must have changed... it appears the young lady didn't make it. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and the young girl's friends.

Can you blame them?

It's a little tougher to recruit guys to Iowa than those other places you mention. Why isn't he able to? Not sure. Some day? The recruiting is getting better.

And for those of you that think Ferentz chokes in big games, I draw your attention to Georgia Tech, several biggies against Penn State, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Sparty. Why is it that when Iowa barely beats a good team (ala last year), we say they're lucky, and when they lose, it's Ferentz that's inept? If he gets the rap for the bad losses, he gets the credit for the big wins.

Face it; Ferentz has his teams prepared to play almost every week. Every team has lapses; NO coach is immune. Add that his D-coordinator has been out and he's got two broken running backs, and Ferentz is doing a solid job. This is a bad season vis-a-vis expectations, but we're still doing okay, and I "blame" Ferentz for our success.

Not sure the other side is particularly relevant here. If he committed a crime, sure, but even one crime doesn't, in this case, justify the second. If he verbally goaded them, they could have driven on. Not saying the kid's a saint (don't know him, never heard of him), but I'm struggling to see the importance of the other side.

Wow. That's terrible. Ferentz is a top-tier coach, and Iowa is darn lucky to have him. I daresay he's the best coach we'll ever have, and these mistakes don't change that. He's human, after all, but he's a god among men in terms of college football coaches.

Ferentz said before the season that he felt like his team was a "middle of the conference" team. How, exactly, is it his fault that the "results" are proving that? Iowa's 5-2 and has failed to execute in two of the three phases of the game in both losses. Is that on Ferentz?

They won't have to. The ballot simply asks if the judges should be retained. As George Strait says, "Check yes or no."

Yeah, those family practice guys are really raking in the cash. 80 hour work weeks and a salary a litle higher than a Rockwell engineer who works a robust 40 hrs per week.

Get a clue.
