The place to start (in my arrogant opinion) isn't with "follow the money".
Line 275891 (On 10/12/11, beka economopoulos<beka@notanalternative.net>) is an interesting gem which includes (among other things):
We currently find ourselves in Phase 3. Senior members of the White House administration, and the President himself, have expressed support for OWS. Democracy for America, a Howard Dean initiated group just sent an email blast to more than a million members tonight selling yard signs &lt ;http://www.democracyforamerica.com/activities/635?akid=1400.1574445.C7OweO&rd=1&t=1> that say ""We Are the 99%"" with co-branded urls: OccupyWallSt.org and DemocracyforAmerica.org/occupy. OWS is embraced by the establishment as a means to amplify existing agendae.
We go as far as we can to destabilize, but maintain momentum. And when that's the new ""normal"" then we go farther.

Yes.
If you write extremist stuff down like "demonstrating the constitutionality of a bill" then you invite attacks from the opposition.

/sarc off.

You nailed it with the first paragraph.
The second paragraph is an added staple.

This article is one of the best history refresher courses I've seen since I was in High School (John F. Kennedy was president!).

I posted the link on Facebook just to annoy my liberal "friends". Some of them can read!

I'll be watching for articles written by Michael Walsh from now on.

So were those "protesters" intentionally filming a campaign ad for Kinzinger, or are they waiting for a 3rd party to do it?
That deserves to be pasted all over TV sets, nationwide. I vote for a general "paid for by the RNC" solution.
But the RNC won't do it. They're weenies.

My 7th grade sociology teacher (back in the '50s) taught us a very simple truth:
A RIGHT is anything that does not require anything from someone else except non-interference.

ANYTHING else is a PRIVILEGE.
If we want enumerated privileges, we need to build societies that voluntarily support them, and we need to remember that they can be removed -- for good or bad reasons by the society we build. What we end up with is our own collective fault.

To illustrate how clueless I am, that was my first take. Not the elder (Ronald), but junior.
From that viewpoint, the description fits perfectly.

Is it at all possible that Reagan defenders or conservatives (of which I are one) can also be a bit thin skinned and look for slights that may not be there?

I think Congress needs to write a 2500 page bill specifying exactly which states may or may not do business with each other, which towns may or may not do business with other towns or states, and what levels of business would be acceptable without incurring a penalty.

Failing that, I'm with you!

All states and towns, of course, would be required to do business with certain authorized states.
This could be easily monitored by the IRS.

That would be the sensible thing, and would apparently conform to the Constitution's Commerce Clause.
In the meantime, maybe we should just burn our own neighborhoods down in protest.
Issuing a simple statement of support or condemnation, after all, is no longer sufficient.
