One can be a Muslim, but one teaches Islam. Islam is welcome in this country - according to the First Amendment. I find it revolting that those who proclaim the loudest that the US was founded on christian principles are usually the first to disregard the Constitution and the Teachings of Christ.

"If you are trying to sell books or magazines or get clicks for your website, Republican Party star Sarah Palin is the gift that keeps giving." Isn't that exactly what CS did with this title? Ms. Palin hides behind Facebook & tweets. She quit her elected position, claiming she wanted to help Alaska without a title. (Not that she helped Alaska with a title: Pipeline - not even close to being built; 200+ Alaskans died under her watch due to poor management of Medicare; villages flooded, left without food, fuel, and sundries, etc.) The Vanity Fair article did not "attack" Ms. Palin. It simply offered another view into her life. I can't understand why the good citizens of Alaska still tremble in fear of her. Isn't it the home of the last frontier? Isn't she "just a private citizen"? I've said before, she got lucky, period. She was in the right place at the right time. Without her crib notes, her backing by Murdoch and Koch brothers, her "behind the scenes" Facebook writer, et al, Ms. Palin has nothing to offer but fear. Recent polls show the majority of "Real Americans" find her unqualified to hold the highest office in this country. Please, continue to use "the gift that keeps on giving".

Where was the "offense" when approval was given to build a Mall at Ground Zero? Yes, on the site of the Twin Towers, not two blocks away. Where was the anger & resentment when soil from the "hallowed ground" was hauled off to a landfill? Why isn't it outrageous to have strip clubs close to Ground Zero? The building used for this community center has sat empty for years; in fact, it's an old Burlington Coat Factory store. Using your analogy of the churches & Native American Indians, we should be offended by the Christian churches works. And those churches weren't even the "extreme" faction. Are you willing to demand Catholic churches to be banned from building close to schools & day cares? What about the murder of Dr. Tiller? Should we condemn all Christians, for his murder, solely because his murderer was a Christian? You realize the Imam trying to build the Community Center was employed by the Federal Government, after 9/11, to foster goodwill and understanding? Good thing the First Amendment protects us all, otherwise, certain parties would try to turn the U.S. into a theocracy. Once, again, this country is standing at the precipice, and as a nation, we shall overcome. Let's hope it turns out better than how we treated our Japanese-Americans during WWII.

Now, that he's gotten his, he wants to get rid of farm subsidies. Yet the system wasn't so messed up, that he declined applying for assistance. One can't claim the system is broken while using it, or that "everyone else is doing it, so why can't I" and have a leg to stand on. Now, if Mr. Didier would pay back the subsidies, I might consider he has a bit of integrity.

The school was given "all the information". The principal failed, in this instance. Having worked within the education system for years, I've witnessed how schools can effectively handle situations like this one. Yes, we had student sex offenders; yes, a plan was implemented to protect the students; yes, the principal notified the district office and the district office was involved. I have no interest in defending sex offenders, but the Sheriff's office did what was required. Again, the principal of the school failed to preform his/her duties to protect the students.

Since it part of the National Archives and Records Administration, it holds many types of historical records. The Chinese Exclusion Act (1882) is a part of our nation's history; as are the Japanese Internment Camps, the resettling of Native American Indians, et al. The inclusion has a great deal to do with the article. Archives & records are about history. Interesting, that it's included? Maybe, it's a gentle reminder - those who forget the past, are condemn to repeat it.

There were laws and governments. Each Native American Indian Nation (tribe) had a form of government. The Founding Fathers looked carefully at the Iroquois governing system - while drafting the constitution. By the way, not all of the Founding Fathers were of English descent; some were Irish others Scottish. Just because this continent wasn't known to the rest of the world, "as a nation", doesn't legitimize the atrocities committed by the earliest "illegals", nor does it deny the fact this country was "founded" by "illegals".

I've several friends that are Evangelical - Most are loving, supportive, and generous in understanding. Though my spiritual life doesn't conform to theirs, we have grand relationships. During our discussions, the wife of a minister decided she was the one chosen to "save my soul". I politely declined her invitation. She became extremely angry with me - accusing me of all sorts of things. Throughout the whole ordeal, I remained calm. I answered each accusation by speaking her "language". Many months went by until she realized I was NOT the devil incarnate, nor did I worship the "dark" side. Eventually, she realized I simply had a different view of "Christianity" and spoke a different "language". It matters not to me how one communicates with the UnMoved Mover. What matters is what am I doing to help "the least of these".

Since ABC documented their story with proof from employers I'll believe them over your assumptions of who's "illegal". Seriously, too many US workers refuse to work at jobs they deem "beneath" themselves. It's arrogant, whiny, and shows a lack of morals/work ethics. Working the system means starting in a position one is qualified to perform, not demanding a position & pay one is NOT qualified to perform. Learning & earning a higher paid position requires effort, sacrifice, and determination, NOT demanding a given position because of race and social position of one's family.

ABC investigated the issue of undocumented immigrants and jobs. The problem is US citizens do NOT want the jobs that undocumented immigrants hold. The problem with Dredd's & Husky's solution is no pharmacy in this area sells marijuana. If fact, from what I learned there is possibly only one pharmacy in that state that dispenses marijuana - in Yakima. Yet, even that isn't confirmed. There are many illnesses that qualify for the use of medical marijuana, according to state law. So those with a medical marijuana card are left with little choice; grow it themselves, designate another to grow for them, or visit the local drug dealer. Another point, the Federal government stated they would not be interfering with states laws over the medical marijuana issue. Guess it's time to make some calls to Congress.
