Typical Republican hypocrisy:

When one points out that, in the 1930s-1970s, the U.S. highest marginal tax rate on citizens was around 90% (while the economy was robust and our country enjoyed some of its greatest days), Republicans always say, 'well the Rich are smart--they use lawyers so they pay nowhere near that rate!'

Yet these same Republicans/TeaHeads, like yourself, incessantly trumpet that the U.S. corporate tax rates are too high. You say this while we all know that corporations have the best lawyers and NEVER pay anywhere near that top rate! In fact there's plenty of factual evidence they don't--including many large corporations that have somehow paid ZERO corporate taxes.

It's sad that Republicans/TeaHeads wear their ignorance as a badge of honor.

But it explains almost all of their posts.

With a name like "notanelite" I'm guessing that you're against those "elite" who have good educations and value knowledge. And my guess seems correct, given your absolute ignorance about "Socialism".

Allow me to educate you, against your will no doubt.

Socialism is alive and well, both in the U.S. and other parts of the world.

In the U.S. Socialism provides the interstate highway system, Social Security, Unemployment for those who get laid off, Medicare, the U.S. K-12 educational system, and hundreds (or thousands) of other very very popular aspects. You know, things that are even very popular with TeaHeads and Palin-ists.

Outside the U.S. there are quite a few other countries that even embrace Socialism more than Americans. If you educate yourself about Scandanavia you (ignorantly) would be surprised. Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland all have governments that are Democratic Socialist--and their citizens are among the happiest in the entire world. Bet that makes you blow a fuse, huh?! People in those countries pay a high tax rate--Willingly--because in return their government has cheap or free healthcare for all citizens, free-cheap educations including University/College, cheap/free retirement benefits, new parent paid leave (Moms AND Dads!), mandatory paid vacations, mandatory sick days, well, the list goes on and on.

Rather than disdain education and people who want to learn things, perhaps you should find out about the world instead of just sitting in your room and deciding how it must be. Just because you think it doesn't make it true!

I am wondering where all the TeaHeads are? While they come here to the DC forums daily from different parts of the country to trash Liberals and Boulder in just about every story, why won't they stand up and be counted now?

I thought they were proud of being TeaHeads?

One need not look too far for examples of uninformed yet strongly-held opinions. Every day in the DC's comment sections there are multiple examples from the Tea Party/Republicans who post here daily.

Their ignorant, vitriolic, name-calling posts are legion. Posts filled with Obama-hate, Hillary-hate, Boulder-hate, Liberal-hate. They log in from all over the country to do this. They deny the Bush Great Recession, they deny that 9/11 happened while Republicans were in charge, they deny torture (and deny it did no good), they deny that President Obama is American. They deny that anything bad ever happened because of Republicans, or that anything good ever came from anywhere else. They still believe in tax cuts for the rich, endless wars, and involving government deeply in every women's personal health decisions.

Ignorance, thy name is Republican.

Large corporations making fiscal decisions that ignore customer injury or death are hardly new.

The White Kid in Texas got an in-school suspension, police were not called, and he wasn't led out of the school in handcuffs.

The Non-White Kid was suspended out-of-school for 3 days (with no cause, and no reversal), police were called, and he was led out from the school, publicly, in front of all teachers and students, in handcuffs.

Yup, no racism here! Your mind must contort so bizarrely to keep contradicting thoughts in your head all day!

A Republican school district in a Republican city in Republican Texas. Republican parents with kids in that school, and the Republican Mayor, are on-record members of the Republican 'oh-my-gawd-sharia-law-is-coming-to-the-US-and-we-must-be-vigilant!' paranoid conspiracy group.

Had you lifted a finger to find out, or if you got your news from reliable sources, and not Republican propaganda media, you'd know that the incident happened in a reliably Republican School in a Reliably Republican City, in a Reliably Republican State.

The incident didn't happen because of "political correctness", in fact it happened due to the very opposite!--because the cowardly "adults" quickly lashing out at the "other"--a brown skinned scrawny kid named Ahmed.

The school still suspended him. The Principal won't apologize. The Mayor won't apologize. The Police won't apologize.

Not because of political correctness, but because of patented White Republican ignorant cowardice.
