jim most people here believe as you. could you and a few other good people post at the daily beast occasionally. just for purposes of spreading perspective. could we just start spreading some intelligence on the net? the beast is not fair but it is a reasonable battleground.
time to out myself. by any normal expectations i, offspring of sophisticated parents who left backward nebraska for ny, europe, eventually settling in liberal tiburon, ca. and uninitiated in any faith (what for? there is no god!) should be fertile soil for the nihilists. i say to all of you, "liberal tolerance is an oxymoron." i wish i had a clue as to how to proceed. it seems as though neither heart nor logic can derail this train from proceeding into oblivion. but please keep on keeping on. what are you doing with your time anyway? and the sun does burst through the clouds occasionally. i would say pray but then i wouldn't be me.
i've been here since '59. wish you weren't speaking the truth, but you are. CA should be a warning to the nation that one party control is death. i don't blame the dems, they are who they are. they do what they do. but when it's all one sided there's a piece of the puzzle missing. or said another way "you can't fly with one wing."
i have no clue. however the playing field is more even there.
i haven't posted here for awhile and i've got the libertarian disease (fiscally conservative and socially liberal.) i really miss the politeness of this crowd as compared to the daily beast but that's where the battleground is. would some of you occasionally post over there? that would elevate the conversation and provide more depth. not in place of here, rather, in addition to here. spread the joy.
