I'm happy for her. I hope she is going Galt. I like her a lot and I think she would be great for this country. But a country that allows political enemies to attack children, families, and everything else to silence their oppostion doesn't deserve a woman like Sarah Palin. We are going to get exactly what we deserve while the world falls apart.
I know many service men and women. Everyone of them all say the same thing, "I was just doing my job". It is that attitude that makes them the best America has to offer the world.

I don't think the Palin issue is phony outrage. Whether he meant Bristol is beside the point, Willow was at the game. A joke about a grown man having sex with a 14 yr old girl is a joke about rape. Bottom line. I agree everybody needs a better sense of humor but the Letterman issue has nothing to do with being PC. It is about what society accepts and what is unacceptable. Dave (and the rest of us) have learned that jokes about 14 yr old girls is unacceptable. Rape jokes are unacceptable (hear that Bernhard?). And they should be.
Even if he was telling the truth- which he isn't- how is rape about a 14 old something he would never ever ever joke about but the rape of 18 year old? HILARIOUS!

A-Rod and Spitzer are adults, not teenage girls. That poor girl now has to face her peers after a celebrity declared on national televison that she was assaulted/ knocked up by a man in his 30s. There is nothing funny about bullying a teenage girl in attempts to silent her mother.
Bliss is a teenage girl, have you met any real teenage girls that are very endearing? It might be Judge's most realistic character to date. She is mortified by her parents, yearns to be accepted by a loser guy with holes in his face, and prone to dramatic interpretations (the community college zombies).... reminds me of myself at that age and every other teenage girl I knew!
I guess I was hoping that the characters would be less lovable! Crazy liberals have hearts too and struggle with their own moral standards! Who would've thought?
