Nice article UThorns335!

The thing I was liking about this article, was the lack of bias. I really enjoyed looking for the players I know the most, and seeing the guys like Chris Wright and Austin Daye and even Tyreke Evans in the top 50. Mid Major conferences hardly ever get the respect they deserve, and I was very impressed to see so many on this list.

One further comment, is the estimation of Devean Downey. I am not sure if you watch a lot of the SEC or not, but I was wondering where you think he will end up by the end of the year. I think he is an awesome talent that is definetly one of the tops in the nation. EX: I think he is better than Kyle Singler.... But that is just my opinion.

Nice Work, sir, and thanks for such a great read!!!

UThorns335,

I would like to agree with you, because of the essential greatness of baseball. In the past, grandfathers would take their grandkids to baseball games, and get a hotdog. Now in this generation, you see fathers take their kids to football games and buying frozen hamburger to cook at a tailgating party.

So yes, while Baseball may be America's Pastime, I think its really started to lose popularity with the overall consensus of people. While the attendance may be going up, I relate that to people still being loyal to their hometown team, and wanting to do something on a weeknight, while the weekend isn't here anymore.

I don't doubt that there are the diehards anymore, because quite frankly, I root for the Braves. For instance, I am a diehard Braves fan, and could tell you just about anything about them. But I think you are losing these types of fans, and therefore, baseball isn't as popular as it was just 5 years ago.

That's just my opinon.

Hey Brett,

WE do a lot of research here at OSF. One mistake isn't going to end the world you idiot. To call one of my fellow collegues a "Jackarse" is not acceptable. Who cares to Texas A&M lost to besides Aggies fans and Tulsa fans, and the selection committee? Not too many people.

Plus Dan is a lot more knowledgeable than you are.
