“the super fashionable green + purple template this site had the first year and a half or so. I believe that caused a few regulars to develop eye problems” A laugh and a tear…I have a prntscrn somewhere in my old computer…may sell it on ebay in a decade or so…Thank you for sharing your mind, Sir.
Fund My Mutual Fund - Stock Market, Economic, Equity Analysis - Via A Model Mutual Fund : USA Today: As Bernanke Punishes American Savers, the Search for Yield Overseas Shows Pitfalls

cont...My analogy: we could have killed a fly in a closed room with a raid fly spray but we let the baseball bat vendors (Hank Paulson and Ben) decide to do it with a baseball bat (tarp and zirp). I always wonder why brave comments challenging blogs like fmmf never showed up and challenged those who opposed Stiglitz nationalization plan: “Nov. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz said the world’s biggest economy is suffering because of the U.S. government’s failure to nationalize banks during the financial crisis. “If we had done the right thing, we would be able to have more influence over the banks,” Stiglitz told reporters at an economic conference in Shanghai Oct 31. “They would be lending and the economy would be stronger.” http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchiv...

“Yet he fails to provide any examples of any free market economies ever that have thrived without a central bank." Pacioli._We are living civilization as we speak. There’s no formula for thriving. Even the Chinese, who ponder orderly government by the millennia, said it’s too soon to know whether democracy may work over the long run. Perhaps Iceland letting banks fail can give you a hint in a decade or so. The Christian thing to do is to do what’s right and I don’t think we did that.

Fund My Mutual Fund - Stock Market, Economic, Equity Analysis - Via A Model Mutual Fund : Happy 7th Billion Person Planet Earth

“One of the curious paradoxes of population growth is that the more able people are to sustain large families, because they become wealthier, the less inclined they are to actually have more children” This is a big deal, I think. With enough wealth we could reach a birth/death ratio of 2, sustainable demand for commodities and a blow for peakoilers. So you can short oil around year 3010.

“it should have a snap back at some point, and it could be vicious.” Vicious, it is indeed. 70% up from the knife bottom. btw. In parallel to Paladin why don’t you launch a plain vanilla fund? Something that the SEC most likely approve. Or say, open a Berkshire Hathaway like fund. Or a private fund. Even if you have to earn only $1 from the money you raise for this paralell plain vanilla fund, it could give you more legitimacy with the SEC and perhaps it could prompt them to move forward with Paladin. Just an idea to keep your animal spirits intact…stay strong TM.
