Controlling idea... that physical comfort would seem to bring happiness, but brings the opposite. It's the kernel of many a story... a Prince and Pauper kind of trope too.

Because of his indie background and gritty persona, Bridges seems more award-worthy than Clooney as an actor, but I have a feeling that Up in the Air is a better film. This is my uneducated opinion, because I haven't seen Crazy Heart. However, I haven't talked to anybody who disliked Up in the Air. I've talked to two people who were not crazy about Crazy Heart. It's safe to say that both films will be nominated!

Good points. The scandal went as far as a few opportunist media wanted to carry it. Innocent until proven guilty is an important principle. I don't mean to perpetuate rumor, no matter how much I may mistrust the Maharishi.

Great comment. The trick now is to ensure a viable wireless internet service... whether that is a 4G network for mobile devices or a wimax network. Disney's Keychain idea is banking on the future of TV and movies streaming from the "cloud."

Two interesting points - that it\'s based on a book that could spoil the grand premise (more on that) and that it has to end this April.
The first episode was awesome, but after a few episodes, I must say I\'m tired of being strung along. I feel used. They could toy with me for a whole season and then just start hinting at the easiest cop-out of all: the supernatural (like in the umpteenth season of Lost).

However, Aaron you made me think of a brilliant marketing possibility. What if they are planning some cool publicity stunts for April 2010? We should not be surprised that, not coincidentally, a new episode of FlashForward will air on that Thursday night, April 29th 2010. When the characters catch up to the \"future\" present, will it also be our present? This is going to make social media go nuts. Congrats Marc Guggenheim and David Goyer for an intriguing show. Now, stop stringing us along and drop some more hints.
