Christ, Music and Technology... : An Apple Tablet on the Way?

I agree with it being the full OS X. One thing that would be great is if they could somehow bring the price down to a point where it was like a netbook or at least closer (maybe $799 max?)......... I know that is a lofty goal, but apple is good at breaking ground on lofty goals.

Christ, Music and Technology... : Have you seen Google's new OS?

Yea, I agree that a lot of people just use their computers for surfing the web and if the web is unavailable their computer is pretty much useless, but for me I think of it differently, more like... "You mean, if there is no internet connection my computer is useless?" So much of my computer use is not related to the net, like... journaling... bible study... composing music... So the thought of my computer being useless without the internet is kind of a distressing thought for me. However, for others maybe not so much. Anyone else have any thoughts? :)

Michael Hyatt Blog : Book Notes: It by Craig Groeschel

Michael, Thanks for this opportunity. I listen to Craig Groeschel via Podcast every time a new message is posted. I love studying the bible and I am also the owner of unseenbattle.net where I am continually trying to think of ways to get others involved in music composition and artsy pursuits to the glory of our great God. I am interested in the book because I admire Craig and would love to know what this "IT" is he is talking about. It (no pun intended) may just be the catalyst to push me forward in this place God currently has me. Thanks again for the opportunity.

Christ, Music and Technology... : Is a Dell Really Cheaper Than an Apple Computer?

Please note that I started at the cheapest Mac I would feel comfortable suggesting a friend purchase. In other words, the cheapest possible Mac I would purchase. You can go cheaper from Dell, but then we wouldn't be comparing Apples to Apples (no pun intended). So I suppose this post is biased (if you consider the title) since you can get a "cheaper" computer from Dell. However I wouldn't suggest buying anything cheaper from Dell so that is why I used the "my suggested cheapest from Apple" baseline. You can actually go as low as $599 (that is with 1GB RAM) for the Mac Mini and as low as $693 for the Dell I listed above if you knock the RAM down to 1GB. Bottom line is that if you are looking for a very usable computer with some longevity you are better off going with the Mac. In my opinion you are not going to get the same longevity and pleasant experience out of the Dell. And if you are looking to go cheaper than what is mentioned above you will get what you pay for and longevity and pleasant experience will not be a part of that equation. Mind you with educational and other rebates you may be able to get these prices down a bit. Anyone have any comparisons from other companies like HP, Sony... etc?
