quite frankly the data that sam presented today pissed me the hell off. Like the american school society or just society in general tells us from when we are young that we are a peaceful and caring nation. They also teach us about how genocide is wrong and how we did all we could do in the 40s to help the jewish people in the holocaust. They also put that crap in our heads when we are like 6 years old that on thanksgiving is the day when the indians and the colonists had a big meal and everything was wonderful. Then after the big dinner the indians gave them this land we now call The United States and the colonists were all nice and everything was just dandy. Well that is all crap! Seriously we are not a caring nation and our foundation is built on lies. If we were so against genocide then we should not have done what we did to the native americans. I also understand that we cannot change what our ansetors did but at least we can tell our future generations what they did and how it was wrong. Also people should not sugarcoat the way that the native americans are living now. Because I do not know how many people think but my view was developed by the media and I thought that all native americans were the owners of all casinos.
We have done so many things for black people and jewish people to help them get back on the feet. Now I am not in any means saying that black people or jewish people do not deserve what we have done or even that we have even done enough for them but we have not done anything for native americans. We have not even given them the consideration of telling people what actually happened in history and how they are struggling today on their reservations. It makes me so upset to get such a rude awaking We as americans are all about helping people in different countries but yet we have people living just as bad or wrost than those people living in this country but the government does not care because they know it is their fault that the native americans are living the way they are living.I am sure that many people would be willing to help but they are not even aware of what is happening to them today. I really hate my own ignorance of what is happening in my own country but I will try to gain more knowledge about native americans. But I really wish that the government will stop trying to cover up its own faults by misleading all of the americans today of what happened and what is still happening.

Once women understand that it is not their fault that these things are not their fault then they will understand that they need to change their views. When they look at the fact that men do not care what they are wearing as long as they look nice then they will realize that men like them for them and not superfical things like sexual clothes. And the men who take advantage of women or only like women how dress like that then they are not worth being a boy friend. Also I wanted to say that there is a huge line between being sexy and slutty. Women are beautiful but they have understand that they are not pieces of meat and they should be treated accordanly.

If women would just look into the minds of mens minds they would know that men only want to have sex with women that are dressed like that. Also a lot of men aviod women who dress like that because they think that they are whores or sluts and such. But the reality is that women would not dress comfortablly because they have insucurities that they try to cover by looking slutty. These views are instilled in to these girls minds since they were born and they can not control these brianwashings from the media or preexisting thoughts that are placed into their minds from their parents or people in their environment.

I think that men get to dress down because society does not put any pressure on them to look really nice or sexy. But girls are put under pressure from the day they are born to look attractive or sexy for men or to get ahead like we all see movies where the women wear suductive clothes to get good grades or a good job becaiuse the suduce the men. They are not looked at because of how smart they are because they are looked at like they are inferior to men so the only way to get ahead is to just look sexy. I also think that women have very low self esteem so they thrive off of any attention they get and if that attention is negative because the man wants to have sex with them it does not matter to them because they just mistake it for love or caring. They think that a relationship with a man is only sexual so they feel like they have to please them with the way they dress but the reality is that men do not look for that in fact they do not even care what a girl wears as long as she looks nice, but women have not figured this out quite yet.

Another thing that may hinder people a lot would be religion because when people are thinking about making a family it is hard to decide between the two religions for the kids when they are born. this can be really difficult on parents when this comes up.

I feel like if some one is truely in love then it really should not matter what other people think, but a lot of people really take it to heart what their parents feel about someone so they are more likely to side with their parents. this is why some times these relationships fail. Also like i mentioned previously there are many different cultures and it is hard to get accustomed to them in a short amount of time. This takes people out of their comfort zone so many people just stick to what they know and what they know will be accepted and that is to date within their own race. for the people who are brave enough to go with their hearts and not from what other people are saying then they often find a better understanding of different racial groups and they become better and well rounded people. I do not think that any one can truely know any thing about a culture unless the y talk to some one in it or they live the culture for a while. but since so many things hinder this many people never give it a chance.

There are many factors that make it difficult to date outside of your race because there are many differences in the cultures. Like I have noticed that there are many many differences within the different races. I have dated men from all different races and I had to adapt each time because they are all different. Also another thinkg that makes the dating difficult is the fact that many parents are still quite racist. I dated a white guy and his parents told him that they never wanted to meet me because I was too "dark" for them. which is quite funny because by the black communities stand point i am too white or light skinned to be fully black. I have also dated a puerto ricann guy and he was fairly light skinned and his grandparents told him that i looked poor because i was so dark and my hair was too kinky. Now my hair curly and my skin is lighter than most latins but they still saw me as a black girl and which meant in their time that i was poor. this is one of the difficulties because no matter how much the two people liked each othecr it is very hard to date when every one is against it.

I now do not feel guilty about my white side because even though I understand that white people have made it hard for black people to succeed but I never did that. And I never thought I was better than anyone or I competed with black people trying to take their opportunities. I now love both my sides because they are both beautiful and they both have their problems because no one person or race is perfect. I find beauty in all people but I never undermine the struggles people had to go through because of their race. I understand it’s hard to be both black and/ or white because I lived both life’s and they just live differently and have different struggles but for me to feel guilty for a whole races oppression is just crazy

I just wanted to be like everyone else and I felt like the reason people felt this way was because I was part white. I felt guilty for being half white because people thought that I was the reason they could not get ahead and they also thought that I was somehow better than them. I knew why people treated me so different because black people are not as politically correct as white people and they will tell you what they are thinking. For a while in my life I would tell myself that I would not marry any one light skinned or white because I wanted normal brown babies. That is how much I felt like I had to prove myself to the black people in my life. I went so far as to only dating dark skinned brothers even when I was attracted to other races because I just wanted to show black people that I love them. I know that is truly sad but that was my mind set.
