NO where did I say that the country was founded on Christian ideals. I just said that the US is demographically Christian. The only one that I am aware of who wrote their own bible was Jefferson, who took out all the more spiritual elements of the Bible

The voters voted to allow the Everything but Marriage act....civil unions only...Marriage is an entirely DIFFERENT issue. I voted for the EMA, but plan to gather signatures to get the referendum on the ballot.
Time will tell who is right :-)

Don't you think that is a ridiculous assumption .....That is a left benter tactic.
I certainly hope they don't plan their weddings and put down deposits only to have the law overturned by WE THE PEOPLE ;-)

This is an entirely different issue than EVERYTHING but Marriage...you are comparing apples to oranges, therefore your speculation is just that , speculation and not ironclad as you suggest

I guess you don't know the law very well. To change the constitution 3/4's of the states must ratify an amendment to the Constitution....

It becomes the bogey man for those that are not educated and are lead like sheep. Individuals that are business owners have a constitutional right to allow their religious beliefs decide which product they sell. The Constitution guaranteed Freedom OF Religion...not Freedom from Religion

This is a different issue...The everything but marriage was Voted in by Voters and now the legislature has gone behind the backs of the voters to pass something the people do not want....I am looking forward to standing in front of stores and gathering as many signatures as I can to get this on the ballot...Let the people speak on this issue...
