Big Journalism : MSNBC 'Journalist' Mika Brzezinski Partners with Valerie Jarrett for White House Propaganda

If you want to watch Mika really squirm, watch her whenever Joe(or others) make any negative comments about Jimmy Carter. Sadly Breitbart didnt didnt post her reactions to Barnicle(Mike), Joe and Willie's barrage of criticism after Carter's self glorifying claims in his latest book.

I must admit when I saw the preview, I said to myself," hey there is another anti-military anti war film I can miss, now you have me thinking about seeing it! That being said, why the lame preview being shown in theatres?

Big Hollywood : Guardian: Pretentious Moi? -- Suffering With 'Actor-Speak'

All of the "arts" come up with this kind of language who's intention is to make them sound smarter than they are....while in college for "Fine Arts" I grew to loath the descriptions of "my images" during critiques. UGH! what pompous a-holes. I moved between calling them "my pictures" or "this snap shot" blah blah blah...its soooooooo tedious.

Joe Wilson was rude, its caused a distraction that is unecessary, but that serves those that want the distraction. I thought the barbeque at the Oyster Festival was quite good...I had the ribs. The hispanic pastor was treated rudely but he too was rude for insisting on speaking in a language that required translation for most of the people there when he was capable of speaking the dominant(of the crowd) language. I think that he was a plant, but maybe Im being paranoid. Rude is the norm, sad but true, but not new. If you dont like what the president says just dont clap, dont boo like they did to the last guy...but that was ok right? Dont worry the camera's will pan around and show your displeasure.

Speaking of beating a dead horse that bubblehead Boucher thinks that if they get rid of the land the need for the road will just go away. What a freekin ditz, when Fairfield County stops allowing itself to be treated like the redheaded stepchild of CT and remind those big spenders in Hartford where they get the money for all those lovely roads in and around the burbs of Hartford maybe we will get somewhere. While Im at it here, Bob Duff who while in the majority party is essentially useless for getting us any respect here at least beats this drum often enough it makes me think he may actually believe in the project...too bad the fellow Dems treat him like the baby brother that gets to play in the football game right before dinner time and not before. ( Sorry I forgot to say the obligatory,) "but he really is a nice guy"...there happy? Can we elect one of the big kids to go to Hartford this time...please?

YourCT.com : Health Care Reform, Because The System Is Broken

OldTimer, when my OB worked every holiday and told his wife they couldnt go on vacation in March because that was when I was due, I said, ya know whatever he is bringing home good for him. When my husbands Neurologist gets paged at church during the holidays and misses meals and significant events with his family because some old lady is stroking out my first thoughts are not "gee he gets paid waaay too much. To the best of my knowledge none of these physicians are living all that large, and I am going to be sitting down with my family and friends eating turkey when they are at the hospital working. Open up the insurance market, lets see what competition will do

Oh, may I fawn, please may I? this post by turfgrrl is too funny too true and too good not to be read by all. Too bad nobody reads the Hour anymore...maybe if they put the Letters to the Editor opposite the Obituary page. Might hit a little too close to home....just a thought. Thanks for giving me something to laugh at today.

Here is the thing...we know that you have "already made up your mind" we know that. But you are asking US to work more so you can spend more of our money...thats the issue, the LEAST you could do is actually act like YOUR working. So one question...when it come the time where you vote on your own pay increases, how are you going to vote?

YourCT.com : "death panels", I want 'em

Our system is so much better because we do not have to wait months for specialists, we do not have a goverment bureaucrat telling our mother or father that they cannot have a hip transplant because they are too old. Our system is better because when my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer he was able to be operated on within 2 weeks as opposed to waiting 6 months because it is "typically" slow growing. Because of that he was able to get the timely care he needed, and avoid bone cancer. Our system is better because when Senator Dodd was diagnosed he was able to go to Sloan Kettering for his surgery as opposed to the local hospital near where he lives...in Iowa, excuse me CT I forgot. I could go on and on, but I am sure when you go to Lutece to eat you do not complain that the cost is not the same as what you would pay at McDonalds.

Insurance companies are in the business to make money, THAT as far as I know is not a crime in this country yet. However, can someone please tell me why we in CT residents cannot buy from a company in Nebraska, or TX or wherever? Would not competition help make this industry better for the consumer? If we are given the opportunity to shop around as opposed to being stuck in our little CT bubble, wouldnt the bigger pools of people make the costs go down? I have no expectation that Insurance companies are supposed to be benificent, I would like to be able to go the Walmart or Target(if you will) of Insurance companies as opposed to being stuck buying from the local, "company store" The idea of the same folks who run the DMV running health care is frightening.

YourCT.com : Tom Delay To Join Dancing With The Stars

While I dont especially love or hate Tom Delay...what is so weird about republicans dancing? Ballroom dancing is certainly less embarrassing than the stand alone "whitemanoverbite" style And Ted Olson is clearly a libertarian at heart. Now the other options you list, I am sure VH 1 has offered Bill Clinton a spot on "Rock of Love, and, I would truly enjoy watching Dick Cheney on Top Chef, the "American Sportsman" edition. John Ashcroft....hmmm Hell's Kitchen?

YourCT.com : Just Who Is Politicizing East Ave Widening?

The "small town feel" that Norwalk or E. Norwalk has has nothing to do with roads, it has to do with people. If you lived here for any stretch of time, people seem to know their neighbors and they stay here..if they can. Wilton is a corporate town as is New Canaan and that other one that thinks Rowayton is theirs. Go to a locally owned restaurant,(outside of SONO)or a "club" there is where you will find your small town feel.
