YOU HAVE TO READ THE ARTICLE. The caption makes it look like Sarkozy is advocating fiscal responsibility but what he is really asking for is a global financial regulator. That sounds like a bad idea. Of course maybe he (the new global financial regulator czar) can take up residence in the new One World Trade Center coming to a city near you.

WHO ARE WE? Now we need a website paid for by the taxpayers to tell us "it's ok to cry." What the heck is going on? What happened to neighbors, family, our churches to help us through our pain?

Was anyone else concerned about the way they intend to push this through? A procedure called reconciliation where they only have to have 51 votes in the Senate. Oh I forgot, Congress knows better than us...They will tell what is best for us...lets not debate the issue. Does anyone see a patern here? Wasn't it that Hansen guy from NASA that just said the other day that global warming is too important to leave to the democratic process, the democratic process is just not working. They are stifling any dissent.

Also Nanci Pelosi said “It’s about the competitiveness of our businesses to make them globally competitive." WHAT? What is she talking about? What businesses? Doctors? Insurance Companies? Since when did we need to be globally competitive in our healthcare industry? I don't remember scheduling my routine doctor's appointment in France. And won't a government run healthcare industry pretty much take the competitive element out?

THIS IS WHAT WE ARE CONCERNED ABOUT HATCH! I am probably one of the biggest college football fans around. I love it! I can't get enough! I think we need a playoff system. I cheered when Utah (my home state) won the Sugar Bowl and showed that there are other college football teams other than the BCS teams that can be national champions. But why is congress concerned about this. Isn't there other pressing matters? Couldn't the.....I don't know.... NCAA take on this issue? Call me Crazy.
