yeah, but now what?

isn't everything a chore?

my to-do list tasks are tongue-swatting flies and hopping all over the place.

i thought about this at length last night, as a result of watching the lost finale and conversations with my parents yesterday. i am not a parent. i love that i came across this today. here's what i think:
everything is connected, and cyclical. remember "everything i need to know i learned in kindergarten"? i do believe that is true, with the exception that, for others, i would add "hopefully" in there somewhere. people are a result of their genetics and life experience. in my opinion it seems that educators and parents are increasingly uncaring, inattentive and irresponsible. although it's not always their fault (i.e. being overworked and underpayed), i just don't get why the world isn't functioning on a viable and reasonable value system. it's a multi-layered issue with many tangents. but something is seriously askew and seems to be rapidly becoming more so. i wish i had both the wisdom and energy to fix it
