The entire property tax appraisal system is a scam because our entire banking system is a scam. Ever sense we rejected capitalism for corporatism in 1913, we have been using credit based on counterfeit money printed out of thin air to buy and value homes. Imagine there was no such thing as a mortgage. What would house prices be like if everyone had to save up the entire price in cash? (capital) Imagine saving $150,000 to buy a house, and then having to compete with jerks that are walking up, putting only $3000 or $5000 down on a mortgage? Our appraisals are based on how many counterfeit fractional reserve "dollars" a bank will loan on a property (the buyers credit worthiness). Our appraisals are based on what MORTGAGES cost in dollars, not what houses cost (in say, gold).
