The issue seems to be that he wants to build a 4,200 sq ft building in his backyard, not that he was hosting a large number of people at his house. The greater issue that I see in this is the fact that the man thought that it would be better to continue to fight for his rights, rather than follow a zoning law that simply would have required him to find property that is properly zoned. There are some battles that we should fight, but this doesn't seem to be one of them.

You may want to check your second statement in bold. I think it should say more likely to respect and support rather than less. I would say that I am the same way, I want to see good guys succeed.

You always have to start somewhere. I know a lot of people who fall into the trap of trying to change everything at once and it usually ends up blowing up in their faces. Its much better to take a more balanced approach and start with small changes in key areas in order to get the desired results.

Thanks for sharing that prayer can be really simple. I truly enjoy listening to my daughters prayer because they don't make prayer complicated. I especially love hearing my oldest because she is moving out of the typical rote prayers taht all children learn and starting to pray with her heart. I know the joy that I feel when I hear that pales in comparsion to joy that God feels when he hears his children pray.

Thanks for sharing. I don't think there is a perfect model for dating. Its an area where you have to learn as you go and you are bound to make mistakes, no matter what approach you take. The most important issue I think in the whole process is having a supporting group of family and friends that can help you honestly evaluate the relationships you are in.

The days did feel so much longer. I have found that now it is easier to not watch TV. Last night we had track night with several families in our community, then came home and got the kids read for bed. My wife and I then did a workout for 20 minutes, watched an episode of House Hunters and got ready for bed ourselves. Just doing this once will help you be able to make better decisions in regards to future media decisions.
