You are so right. I visited 2 elderly aunts today. During each of the visits, I told 2 of my more humorous anecdotes. After reading your post, I realized I was actually story-telling to get specific messages across to both of them. These were not political in nature but I now see what you mean. I use story-telling all the time but never for POLITICS. For some reason, that has always been separate usually introduced by something like, "I promise this will be my only political message". And then the other person promptly falls asleep or shuts down.

What an important post!

All this slobbering over leftists is getting a bit much, is it not?

What about Shepherd Smith and FoxNews' responsibility? I didn't hear the interview, but I did hear Shepherd Smith say that the shooter was thought to be an Afghan War Veteran. I nearly had a stroke. Then later when the information came out about the guy, my blood really began to boil. I remember seeing Sheppy and how careful he was the day he was reporting on Major Hassan. I called FoxNews and left a voicemail - 1st time in my life I've ever called a station - and I emailed them as well.

I think FoxNews has to be held to account for this garbage. They are always willing to malign our military. Shepherd Smith is an absolute disgrace and should be made to apologize. I can't believe they just renewed his contract.

Oh, there are just too many to even count this year. I guess some of my favorites would be Rob Reiner calling the Tea Partiers Nazis, Tom Hanks saying we fought WW II because of racism and that racism is the reason we're fighting in wars today. Then there's all those Hollywood & media types who equated opposition to Obama's agenda with racism. And all the remarks made about the Tea Parties being knuckle-draggers. And all the anti-Palin hysteria.

To tell you the truth, perhaps a better column might have been who WASN'T a Holllywood/Media asshat in 2010. That might have been a more difficult column to write.

The Wall Street Journal reports the bill has a price tag of $858 billion. Gee, that number sounds familiar. Oh, now I remember, it's darn near exactly the same amount of the porkulus.

So let's see. We agree to another $1 Trillion in spending (and borrowing since we ain't got the dough) and we get....the status quo on our taxes. What a great deal - those Republicans are geniuses! And we also get ethanol subsidies, tax breaks for the TV & film industry and motorsports entertainment complexes, well they're just "fun" aren't they? Oh, and of course it wouldn't be a porkulus if it didn't contain several provisions for our perennial "natives", the Indians. Oh and I know neither Republicans nor Democrats would disagree that wool research is the seminal issue of our time, so of course that's in there too. Oh, and Puerto Rican rum.

I can see the Republicans are all I hoped for and more. And all those hours I spent over the past 1 ½ years working tirelessly to get them elected was worth it if this tax deal is any indication of how they're going to govern. I just hope I can get a lot of that Puerto Rican rum to tide me over till the next election.

Yeah, you have to watch the Tapper. He pretends to be fair & hard-charging but his tweets reveal the real Jake. Someone else pointed out his tweets regarding the tax "cuts" and he was all class warfare about the subject. Never trust the MSM. Never.

"Peter is anxiously awaiting his trip back to California for the birth of his child."
"The trip eventually leads them to a friend of Peter’s (who may or may not be the father of the child that Ethan is expecting in California)"

Who exactly is expecting a child? Confusing review.
