Maybe have the human force return to Earth and have them recount about how bad the Na'vi are, have a much larger scale human force return for revenge, and then while the bigger & better armed humans are engaged in a far more kill'em all approach to the Na'vi, a 3rd unseen force shows up and the humans & Na'vi have to band together to fight it?

I didn't see it but How the World Works brought up an interesting point in his review: Think of the Navi as being a planet's owner, and humanity came along to steal the Navi's own, property, natural resources. It'd be like if the USSR invaded Saudi Arabia for their oil.____No I'm not insinuating that America invaded so-and-so for oil or blah blah blah.
