DADT did not increase the amount of gays in the military. We have always been there. AIDS happens to everyone. How many times does a service member go into port and pay for a hooker in countries that have very little sex education. AIDS is a result of poor protection decisions not sexuality.

I am sorry that you were taken advantage of by a criminal. It's not a gay thing only though. Do you know how many times as a child I was taken advantage of by an adult male? 3 times that I can count and 2 were relatives. I am not alone. Many young women are molested by make family members at a young age. This behavior is wrong no matter what sexualtiy. Again, I am sorry that you were taken advantage of and hope that like me, you were able to receive help to get over the invasion of your body.

DADT didn't increase cases of AIDS. Gays have been in the military since it's inception. Did you know that in Africa AIDS is running rampant. Did you also know that the reason it is, is because heterosexual males infected with AIDS think that if they have sex with a virgin, the AIDS will go away. These men are raping little girls who are as young as two years old to "rid" their bodies of AIDS. And they are heterosexual. See what ignorance can do?

and when you get hit by enemy fire I will still be there to patch you up. Will you still shoot me then when your life is in my hands and I am taking great risks to save yours? I hope for your soul and your family that you don't.

Like many, I have and continue to serve in the military. I have been on many deployments and would gladly die for this country. I read the posts in this forum and it makes me shake my head. However, I fight so that everyone has a voice and continue to have rights in this country. No one can tell me that God doesn't love me. That relationship is between him and I'm a lesbian. A God loving lesbian. Christian because christianity is suppose to be the most open and loving of religions. I will willingly die for this country and for God . I am not the stereotype lesbian. i don't wear flannel and birkenstocks. Let me tell you what it's like to be a woman on a ship. Nothing about sexuality. Straight men are no angels. How fast wedding rings come off when the ship pulls away. How quickly you are cornered and told "oh course you want to go on a date with me when we hit port." The point is, no one is perfect. No one. Not gays, straights or the ambivilent. The key is love and loyalty. I have those, do you?
