Daily Camera.com: : CU-Boulder mental health offices merger causing tensions - Boulder Daily Camera

Donald Misch is not the "senior assistance vice chancellor" - he is an Assistant Vice Chancellor. A simple Google search to fact check would confirm this detail. http://www.ucdenver.edu/academics/colleges/medica... This sounds like a lot of mud slinging to me - mergers are tough and not everyone will make it through one. The reporter seems to have missed the story entirely here and has focused on rumor and 'bad blood' instead of the real meat - why was the decision to merge made?

Who is this city planner that thinks the Arapahoe and Folsom location is Anywhere USA? And how the heck does the corner of University and Broadway possibly handle a hotel and conference center? Talk about the WORST place in town to have people drive to from the Airport.... There is no easy way there (BY DESIGN BY 'BOULDER CITY PLANNERS') by car. Do you REALLY expect these visitors to take the BUS?!!! What a crock.

Daily Camera.com: : Potholes wreak havoc on Boulder-bound U.S. 36 - Boulder Daily Camera

Last year we hit a LARGE pothole (try 9 inches deep) on US36 in the construction zone and immediately blew out a tire, bent the strut and shock absorber. Caused nearly $2,000 worth of damage and we were lucky no one was hurt or worse. We filed a claim with CDOT (effectively Ames) and were paid for the damages. Took about 6 weeks. Having said that, this road project is the most dangerous for motorists I've ever witnessed. Lanes are too narrow, visibility is dangerous and the condition of the roadbed is negligible. Can US36 motorists get together and sue those responsible for this 'public works project' for unsafe conditions? Its just a matter of time before some one gets killed as a result of this terribly planned project.

Daily Camera.com: : Savers unexpectedly closing Boulder thrift store amid property sale - Boulder Daily Camera

Your statement said nothing about opening a store. The implication of your statement was that they bought the building just to keep it out of a competitors hands, particularly with that 'kill off challengers' line. If they bought it to open a store and they knew another competitor was also interested in it, what you have described is called capitalism.... not sure why that is even noteworthy. But in any case it doesnt matter because Whole Foods most definitely did not buy that building.

This is an uninformed statement. Whole Foods is not in the practice of buying a property they don't intend to use. The ONLY time that would be relevant to Whole Foods was the merger with Wild Oats. Otherwise, name ONE other time Whole Foods has bought a single property with the sole intent of not developing it....

A story about CU in search of a nonexistent controversy. And what a surprise that it is written by Sarah Kuta who's MO seems to have solidified itself; missing facts (this is a FUNDRAISER) and hyperbole ('some CU Alums' = 2 CU alums) in order to find a 'controversy' about CU that will make for a titilating headline. What a joke.

I urge you to take a look at the numbers and educate yourself about what is really happening - these are generated for the State and Feds for accountability purposes. If you have some 'evidence' that there is some sort of reason we shouldn't trust these numbers, and by extension the Feds and the State should investigate them for fiscal malfeasance by all means share them. https://content.cu.edu/controller/annualreport/ The tuition schedule for in state and out of state students is easy to find. Please Google that. You are just plain misinformed about volunteering at CU (or any University for that matter) and I would guess you've never even looked into the opportunities that actually exist. I sense a running thread here…. And you didn't consider another possibility for why I would know what is said at the orientations…. Three children have attended CU in the past. Thanks for keeping it classy and remember to look before you leap.

In state tuition does not even come close to covering the costs…. one out of state student covers 2 or 3 in state students' expenses. That is a fact that is repeated at every freshman orientation. Also, you clearly do not know what you are talking about for where the money is coming from for this athletic facility… If Colorado taxpayers want to have their opinion count they should put their MONEY WHERE THEIR MOUTHS ARE and educate themselves on the REALITIES before they open their mouths.

Colorado taxpayers should be ashamed of themselves for what has happened to the funding for higher ed in this state. Approx. 5% of CU's funding come from taxes…. lowest in the nation for a flagship. The Colorado taxpayers' opinion is worth as much as they are actually giving to the University i.e. ALMOST NOTHING!

"Among the programs honored was CU-Boulder's atomic/molecular/optical physics program, which was ranked as the top school nationally in its field." First off - EXCELLENT! Number one in the country for this program! Amazing and well-deserved! Good job to all of the faculty, students and staff for your excellence in this field! But why is this number one ranking not the headline? HUGE amounts of newsprint is devoted to perceived problems at the University, yet when it is ranked NUMBER ONE in the country for a highly advanced field of science research, it is buried in the second sentence of a short 'article.' Shame on you Daily Camera.
