Film School Rejects : 10 Things We Demand From \'Terminator 5\'

I was right there with you until #5 McG is optional. That should read, option out of McG's contract, if there is one. I hope the studios paid attention to the dismal ticket sales. When goofy comidies make money hand over fist. One has to ask, who is the best person to lead an established franchise. Was Marc Foster busy this past year? He did a much better job with the sequel of Casino Royal than McG has done with T series.

Film School Rejects : WTF: For the Record, I Don’t Want McG Dead

Exactly! HITH did McG, of all people, get his hands on "The Terminator" to begin with. Why didn't the studios just wait for Cameron? McG does not have the experience to undertake such a project. Did the studios deliberately want to throw this film under the bus? Why would you not send your very best out on a four day weekend. Hello! I bet ya Christian Bale has added a " NO Working With McG" clause to his contract. $43mill over three days. That has gotta hurt. Everyone's headed out to see "Night of the Museum II"

Or, all the good scripts have gone on to non-acting A-listers(Jennifer Aniston). Instead of someone who can actually act and weighs more than 88lbs soaking wet.

This was an excellent year for the Newport Beach Film Festival, minus all of McG's comments. His vision for the next movie contradicts the story from its inception.

Film School Rejects : First \'Sherlock Holmes\' Trailer is a Bit of Brilliant

Neil, ever the late bloomer. Rachel's costume is duly noted. This trailer is seductive. I had my doubts with Ritchie at the helm. I need to see more of Judes character, I am seriously not a fan of his. Downey is smashing as they say.

You heard it here first. McG tried to show the film at the Newport Beach Film Festival but they could not get it to play. He began the senseless tirade about Hollywood and don't become a director bulls**t. He finally coped to the fact that he should have intervened when Bale opened up a can of whomp a**. Our film instructor, Stephen Valley, was hoping for pearls of wisdom. Instead it rained insults, like Comic the Insult Dog, from Conan. When we attended class that Thursday, our instructor was graciously pointing out the merits of the other products that had been presented. He did not know how to take McG's comments. The instructors comment was, "that's not how to make frenemies" with the powerful studios.

Film School Rejects : Spielberg\'s Dream of Martin Luther King Jr Biopic Finally Comes True

I'm really excited about this. To see Stephen, do his trademark attention to details, as he did in the movie The Color Purple. Priceless! Spike Lee would never get the capital to pull this one off. He would have to hit the heavy players as he did in Malcolm X.

Film School Rejects : Shouting Match: Tom Hanks, Still Great or Past His Prime?

There are not a lot of writers out there who write scripts for a specific person anymore. Nora Ephron with Something's Gotta Give--Jack Nicholson, The Holiday-- Jack Black's character. Sophia Coppola with Lost In Translation-- Bill Murray. At this stage in his acting career he can afford to be stingy with the roles he picks.

Film School Rejects : Foreign Objects: The Class (Entre Les Murs)

I saw the film for my French class. I felt the film shows the viewers that no matter the country, there is always a struggle for the poor and lower middle class. Parents want the same for his or her child as we do. I was saddened in the end by the black girl who felt she did not learn anything. Those overlooked students are often passed-on by the system with the hopes they will "catch-up". Sadly they never do. She had the courage to reach out to her instructor. But he failed her once again by not offering her resources for her to try to make sense as to why she is failing. My French teacher is an example of how the French responds to "other races" She was taken aback when she found out the other minorities in class could speak the language almost fluently. But were not from a French speaking nation. We often have to "engage" her to look past someone's skin color and see the person.
