Jihad Watch : Jihad Watch: Top Saudi threatens U.S. over Israel

Well following this debate for some time now, i realize we can stop blaming individuals and nations for the present situation at hand, but rather peg it on human nature and our inability to be objective despite our allegiance! I say this because I am imagining every person commenting on this debate in the position of the leaders they support or criticize and i realize that had they been in those positions the situation would be same or worse... prejudice, passion and idealism (among other distinguishing qualities) seem to be what has the situation the way it is... not policies or religious doctrines or military might! Pure and simple, man's inability to go beyond his own passions! There are many potential "Genociders" even in this debate... so what are we arguing over this Saudi's statements if we know we can offer nothing better if given the chance... we are criticizing eachother for being just like eachother..!!

Let's face it. Humanity is facing total destruction in one way or another and every nation has to take up its role seriously... Natural disasters, disease and overpopulation in the eastern countries, ethnic cleansing, tribal wars and famine in the africas and eastern Europe, wars in the middle east, and social and moral degradation in the west... (if i forgot anything please feel free to let me know)...each region/nation looks on their situation as being of utmost importance and feels the world should stop and run to their aid... however, when it continues too get progressively worse to the point where even the superpowers are desperately trying too save their own nations from social and economic destruction and cannot referee/police the rest of the world's nations and their situations, what will nations involved in situations like this do? threaten Big brother ? or realize Big brother is no longer there and actually intervene and offer something other that harsh words? Outside of natural disasters every global crisis is man made! Our leaders need to put childish things aside and start being responsible and stop playing politics with it citizens lives!!!

not to lose focus on the purpose of this debate in relation to the article above, Big Brother is warned: "Stop my cousin from beating up his little brother or else..." Just like little children, if the US and other superpowers (just to prevent innocent blood from further shedding) decides to take away all their toys (disarm the region weapons) and ground them for a period of time, wouldn't that be the responsible thing for a Big brother to do? or would we see the true intention of such threats is not to prevent bloodshed but to give someone right or wrong by playing on Big brother's desire to make everyone happy?

They say "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" No doubt this is what is taking place. The US is damned if they do and damned if they don't. The US started playing Big Brother in the region with the earnest intention of really defending the weak against the strong and fostering peace. However, the nature of man is such that some began to abuse this intention while keeping the guise of goodwill in place. Whether the US intervenes or not they will make someone unhappy. So if it is a lose lose situation in terms of politics and international relations i believe the humanitarian decision needs to be made. If there is no major threat to human life in the future, Big Brother needs to let his siblings sort there squabbles out on their own... But please leave the innocents lives and blood out of it!
