There was a Forbes (i think) report not long ago about how unsuccessful congressmen are at trading stocks. They generally know nothing about markets and money. They cannot do it by themselves. Therefore, all their millions are made by crony trading and outright bribery. Throw Them All Out is a great goal, but the system is so rife with ingrained corruption that just about anyone new will eventually succumb and the cycle starts over. Add the revolving door and it's going to be difficult. We need an organic revolution. Not only "Throw Them All Out", but "Throw Out The Bureaucrat Crooks" and "Stop The Revolving Door" and "Jail The Czars"..

The problem with these fools is not so much that they see they were fooled. No, they still hold to the liberal/progressive/socialist/communist party orthodoxy and Obama is just the latest in a long line of dear leaders who was just not dedicated or competent enough to usher in utopia. It does nothing to dampen their resolve for a socialist paradise. They have their radar out for the next messiah who will surely get it right. Long live the party line. The commissar is dead, long live the commissar (when we find him).

Jackass.

She's like every other leftist, proggie dumbass. Socialism/communism is ideal. It hasn't worked because the right people haven't been in charge. The next messiah will get it right and utopia will reign. Feh. Fools.

I'm not much on horror themed movies. Holiday Inn, I've liked it for years. I think I get a bigger kick out of watching Danny Kay in White Christmas. I had forgotten that Trading Places was set at Christmas. One of my favorites. The Die Hards can't be beat. What's more cockle-warming than shooting terrorists, blowing up things, screwing with newsmen and the indomitable human spirit. I heartily agree, most Christmas movies are a mucilaginous mess of sugary saccharine. I won't watch them for the same reason I don't watch Hallmark calculated tearjerkers. Everyone raves about Christmas Story. Never seen it and have no real desire for that ilk of narcissistic nostalgia.

Feh. The last film I saw in a theater was Lord of the Rings 2 - something that really deserved an expansive view. My wife gets DVDs by mail and sends them back before I can watch them. The best movie I've seen lately was a $5 Walmart bargain bin copy of Bullitt. Screw them all. I hear and see tempting reviews, but the desire easily passes as soon as I start looking through the bill folder and try to figure out what I can pay.

I do the same thing driving when I see an Obama bumper sticker. In DC, it's a digital workout.

I'm not surprised. Nascar has been pandering to the Regime/Green crowd this whole season with the much hyped E15 green fuel change. They are a mega business with the France's at the helm. They know it would not take much for the regime to rain down EPA, OSHA and IRS investigations, fines and suits. Nascar is a middle American event. The President is an urban, NBA thugball fan. I don't think the issue is so much racism as it is that this administration despises Nascar fans (as do all their Ivy League/Wall Street cronies), has done everything possible to extinguish their jobs, increase their fuel costs, increase their health care costs, impede their small businesses and drop the hammer on their kid's futures all while insulting their intelligence. Who wouldn't "boo" people who hate you so much? Cartoon audiences booed Snidely Whiplash, too. Michelle and Jill, troop family hype aside, are not very nice people. They will never relate to the "commoners".

I vote for tin pot dictator in training. It's probably more fascistic than Marxist. Business, bank and industry cronies enriched and directed by central authority. All paid for by the little people.

It is a tad busy looking, Walt, but the surroundings look lovely. I'm surprised it isn't more. $1M really is not much for a celebrity cabin. Wonder how much his "working" home cost? If it's Hollywood it's probably a minimum of $15M. Fat hypocrite.
