I believe Ron paid his dues, my point is people are on here dogging him for a meth lab I say good for him if heonly has one apartment hit the news this year with all the meth labs in town and he has how many buildings? The news said he is doing everything that he needs to that the law requires him to do. People are bringing up his past and it was not in his home, some people just have nothing better to do than look for ways to scam everyone around town, my point is if its so bad and your so worried about the health and well being then get out. They evacuated the apartments and then when it was OKAY to enter hazmat let them all re enter meaning it was okay to occupy. Of course the apartment with the lab is condemned duh, its now part of an investigation.
After further investigation I have looked at iowacourtsonline.com and 2 of the names that I did see on the news had this in there history. One was evicted from Kelley Property in 1994 then 1995 evicted from willowood apt, then 1996 3days to vacate from Bob Burns then following that a 3rd offensive drunk driving. The other has 2 evictions also. I would just count my blessings that are still places willing to rent to these tenants. Come on landlord just give them a years free rent (since they cant go anywhere else due to there own history of screwing over landlords). So speaking of a felon, all you people on here need to investigate the facts! I just want to know why kcrg would put there own news anchors at risk if this building is so bad. Bet they are losing hair and sleep tonight. Up date us tomorrow please so we can all try to screw over our landlords too.
KCRG does not "investigate" any news, because they are so desperate for news! All of us watching can tell that the tenants are trying to use this methlab as a way to get free rent. Funny how these tenants are having more symptoms than the people that were living with the methlab . If KCRG would have done a proper investigation instead of doing the "one sided story like always" they would have done a investigation on people who have lived in a meth lab to see what there symptoms were vs. the ones trying to get free rent. As far as the "vapors coming through the vents" well, that is kinda difficult when that unit is run with radiant heat! And for all you idiots that want to bring up the landlords past, well the past has nothing to do with what is happening today! My advice is go to Iowa courts online and read up about the tenants that were interviewed tonight, I believe you will be amazed at what you find! If you care so much for your health and the health of that poor little sick child then they should have already moved out. Where was the physicians evidence? Guess kcrg forgot to ask for that one too.
I say if the city wants to buy it then they should use the money they are making off the tax payers from the red light cameras and only that money!
I also agree as a former employee of goodwill working there you know its wrong. The clients would be expected to "focus" and work harder that the regular employees, It is really sad once you have worked with them and seeing the way they are treated and pushed to meet quota and why? So we can run million dollar goodwill stores. I know for a fact that the two in cedar rapids and the one in marion have all reached a million dollars in sales for the past few years and they do that with the good hard work from the clients!
It goes to show you must be a young person to think that taking a life is a Mistake. In life you will learn that a Mistake is something you or someone can fix. This would only be true if I or someone could Shoot your worthless FAMILY member. Not only did he KILL someone ,Now we get to pay for his lawyer and if you were to ever get a job you will be paying for him also. Open your eyes, not all the people in the house lived there! They have kids that had friends over! There house yes after a year and a half was still getting fixed due to state hold ups.
