It is funny that no person who approved that message noticed its "grading".

Join the club. All my posts have to be "approved". Not sure if just me or everyone. My post this morning wasn't approved, at least I can't find it.

I commented that parents need to be responsible for their children BUT these boys are old enough to be responsible for their own actions. Maybe community service is the proper sentencing.

Next time I am censored I will be calling the Gazette.

Time for some tough love, parents. Who was responsible for educating this boys when they were preschoolers? Something went horribly wrong. But they alone are responsible. I say send them to a pig farm and let them do some community service.

So there was a no contact order standing when she "called him to discuss an issue with the children"? Sounds like he doesn't need to know anything about his children. He sounds like a good candidate for gen pop.

I expect a huge negative rating, but shame on the Gazette for allowing these negative comments to continue based only on the looks of the woman.

Wow, he thinks it is responsible to place any child in his daughter's care for any length of time? Any parent who answers that "free" ad should be locked up. Child care is more than about money ( or it should be).

I read this morning that former mayor Clancey supports closing 2nd Ave. She feels that there is really no good reason to keep it open or support keeping it open. That those of us who don't support it are against change. Really?? Is that the best argument she has? I've lived here over 40 years and seen plenty of change. The Flood was a HUGE change. The mayor system was a HUGE change, voted for that. I fully supported the change from1/2 court to full-court girls basketball. For Iowa, another huge change. I've also dealt with the changing (ongoing) of CR roadwork construction. In short, I'm a survivor, change is good, put in a crosswalk and quit your bellyaching.
She goes on to site lots of monetary benefits. But what I am wondering is... wouldn't there be monetary benefits WITHOUT closing 2nd Ave? Probably. Not sure that was a winning argument for me Lee. People would still use it, just in a crosswalk instead.
Is an "independent business consultant" what we used to call a lobbyist?

That made no sense but got a chuckle from me anyway, The driver in the last accident was male. Do you have any more of these goodies for men drivers?

Not the RR's in Cedar Rapids. With a credit or debit you don't have to go inside, only cash. I believe. My hubby normally fills it, so I could be wrong~!

We'll only hear the $23 million dollar name when they write or speak about it in the media. Residents will just call it "The Library". What would a $25 donation get me? Hmm I wonder what collateral a bank would need to give me $5,000.
