I just joined pinterest.com and are there are tons of home photos on there. I'm totally obsessed with it and people are always pinning fabulous photos of fabulous spaces (you don't need to be a member to browse, but to pin your own stuff you do, so let me know if you need an invite.). Other than that, designspongeonline.com is great, as is decor8.com and younghouselove.com

Thanks for the links! I think it's important to know about greenwashing in this day and age when companies like Clorox are cashing in on the green trend. I just can't rationalize buying a "natural" product from a company that loves bleach so much!

So amazing that this is today's post. Last night my husband and I were talking about how unfair it is that people in America have such a crazy abundance of clean water. We flush our toilets with it. Water our lawns with it. Wash our cars with it and literally let it go to waste and yet in so many other places they can't even get a sip of clean water.

Anyway, this is me bragging that I donated my $20 to the cause!

Also, as Rachel said, HandsIn is amazing!

I absolutely love when celebrities do dramatic things like this. Throwing money at something is great and all, but action is so much more inspiring.

This is a great story Lauren! My husband and I, now that we own our own house, planted a tree on Saturday and we both find ourselves peeking out the window to check on it and make sure it's okay.

I am totally addicted to Free Rice! I love it!

As for the reusable bags, I can't live without them. I won't go grocery shopping without them anymore. They are stronger and thus hold more items than your average paper or plastic bag.

I think I would do something similar to what Brent suggested. It makes sense to spread the money around and help as many organizations as possible. I'd definitely want some of the money to go towards animal rescue efforts (WWF, SPCA, Defenders of Wildlife, various local rescue foundations) across the world and I'd donate to organizations that help educate women and girls where they're considered second rate citizens. I'd want some of the dough to go toward my local women shelters, as I've volunteered with them before and absolutely love the change they push for. I'd probably also want to donate some money to homeless shelters and various veteran's groups as well. I figure I'd go through that million bucks pretty quick...

Use as little electricity as possible. I'd unplug just about everything - including the fridge because I could live without for a day - and practice living life without the buzz of modern living.
