There you go again STRIKER47, blaming Barney Frank. You just can't quit Barney can you? You may never have read a newspaper if you actually believe Barney Frank has anything to do with the current economic catastrophe. Go read a newspaper! I do kind of agree with this stand of yours, not fully though: "I always vote against anyone that has served more than twice because it is time to change the person in control of the oars"

"The Bush administration shares the brunt of this mess because they were at the wheel but the dems controlled congress and had several people in very important positions who also share some of the blame" I must lightly admonish you're re-writing of history. The Dems were not in control of Congress. This debacle is soley the responsibility of the Republican President and Congress. The Republicans had absolute power and it corrupted them. The Democrats nearly have absolute power now (only "nearly" because many blue dog Dems will not fall in line with the Dem Congress). Let's see if they can manage to take that power and screw up the country like the Republicans did. All politicians are alike so we can count on it. Having said all that, many Dems enabled Republicans along the way and certainly share some responsibility for this mess as well.

I don't have a misguided view of conservatives. Bush and his cronies were not conservatives. Nor are the Republican leaders that currently control the party. I do not buy in to Janine Garafalo's views. I do not listen to her or anyone else on Air America Radio, nor to right wing radio, nor Fox News. I do not need to tune in to a TV show or radio show that simply reinforce my preconceived notions about my political opposites - it's unhealthy for a democracy. That's why I read newspapers. "Can you tell me why you think someone here would not hire a black person?" The simple indisputable truth is that Republicans are much less likely to hire a minority. Not that there aren't many liberal hypocrites out there as well. The grand majority of people on this site are, to put it very politely, way out there on the Republican right (notice I don't call them "conservative" right). Oh, I'm sure they would hire a minority if they ever met a qualified one, it's just that they've never met one that is qualified.

You are showing your true colors: Obama's character is fine. Except for that wing nut stuff you get from Fox, talk radio and wing nut emails. If you believe that crap, then I guess Obama's character is alarming. "Obama has lied continuosly". Okay, list the lies for me and prove that your not just a hater. You invoke ACORN as if it's anything but a right wing scape goat. Acorn is irrelevant. Invoking the name simply serves your masters purpose to get all you sheep riled up. What a bunch of saps. Get educated, read a newspaper.

"Maybe we won't be able to run your heroes out of DC" I have no heroes in DC. I respect any of you who took the Republican Congress and Republican President to task for spending and legislating our economy to catastrophe these many years, and are now attempting to do the same with the Democrats. The rest of you are just uninformed sheep and haters. Pick up a newspaper and read it.

"And with the uneducated electorate I don't foresee and change of power in Congress in 2010. Heck they had a 9% approval rating this passed election and GAINED seats. How does this happen?" In a poll last year, more than 50% of the people didn't know which party controlled congress. People need to turn off the TV and pick up a newspaper and get educated. That same 50+% didn't know that Republicans controlled Congress for the 15 years between 1992 and 1997. I'll bet more than 50% of the people on this site don;t know that either.

"You can see what happens when races are very very close, take Minnesota for example." Even when you have a close race, you have a winner and a loser. Coleman lost. Even if it goes to the supreme court, Coleman will still be the loser. "ACORN's war chest is stocked thanks to the bailouts." Where did you get that cr@p from? What a joke! Go read a newspaper and learn something about the world. You may realize the world ain't flat after all. You actually believe this cr@p? I'm stunned.

"I would also love for someone (at Fox?) To do an accurate head count for the April 15th event." Me too. Except Fox doesn't have much credibility in that department. You have seen the youtube video showing Neil Cavuto of Fox asking his producer how many people were at the rally he was covering, haven't you? The producer tells him there's gotta be over 5,000 people. 9 minutes later Cavuto goes on the air and says that 5,000 people were expected for the rally, but instead there must be double that or triple that here today. The crowd went from 5,000 to 15,000 in 9 minutes. Hmmmm. It's a shame that Cavuto would feel the need to lie that way. I wonder if someone higher up in Fox told him to inflate the numbers. Geez, who can you trust?

"I remember during last election, many things where brought forth about ACORN, but much to my dismay, nothing ever stuck to them" Nothing ever stuck to ACORN simply because they were irrelevant. Despite the best efforts of FNC etals to turn them into the boogeyman.

Republicans pretty much controlled Congress for 14 years (until 2007), and the Presidency for the last eight years. But you say it's the Democrats who have ruined the country? Really? Somehow that math doesn't add up. And I guess those of you who say the Democrats are bought and paid for by special interests (which I pretty much agree with, except for Obama whose massive campaign contributions were from average Joes) don't even know what the Republican "K" Street project was? Aren't Republican politicians bought and paid for also? And weren't the Republicans the recipients of the grand majority of lobbyists contributions for the last 15 years? Why do I only read about the evil Democrats on this site? Yet, I read claims that the 912 Project and the Teapartiers are bipartisan groups. What a joke!

To most of you teapartiers: No one is afraid of you. Mostly people are laughing at you. Those of you who are libertarians at least are sticking to your principles and you don't come late to the party. But I disagree with you simply because massive spending is a necessary evil right now. Libertarians recognize that Bush and the Republican Congress spent money like drunken sailors and put the Liberal stereotype to shame. Libertarians are trying to make sure Obama doesn't follow in Bush's footsteps.

If the grand majority of economists agree that we have to spend our way out of this financial crisis, isn't it incongruous to take Obama to task for spending as he is? And, I'm not sure what history you know about the Depression, but it was, in fact, massive spending that brought us out of it. Please, if you dispute this statement, try to find a historian that disagrees and cite them in your counter argument. Good luck!
