Your choice of words accurately describes my resentment towards j-games too. Its just their culture. They were alone on an island way too long before meeting other cultures, and such they developed a very different lifestyle altogether. Just look at tentacle porn, sure everyone loves it, but it was the laws that drove artists to think of odd/interesting ways to not show the vag.
