you realize there is no rules tied to a 2g you can feed it any ipsw and it seems to take it.redsnow 0.7.2 is flawless use that instead of 0.8 and you should be good to go. may want to take it in itunes hit restore before to have a clean process.

hey i just sucessfully downgraded took me 4 hours but hey its done!! now theres 2 things i did not sure what one did it. i plugged the iphone from a mac to a pc acted weird for a bit had 3.1 so i fed itunes 3.0 by force the real apple 3.0 not altered one.ok so then i used itunes 8.2 used old redsnow 0.8 which is very slow but worked.redsnow does stop during reboot 2nd process just unplug usb fast and replug in and it keeps going. now i read that redsnow locks up at the end how i fixed this was to keep itunes open during this whole process and bam looked at version 3.0 it says now also itunes says want to update to 3.1? heck no so there you have it. now if ultrasn0w source was working i can confirm a unlock everything else so far is working excellent.

please do not post your source i know apple will be looking at it, need to start keeping this on the d/L so they dont catch on too soon. I wish this could have waited until the new iphone was out, apples gonna lock down even harder, good job indeed though!

to daryl: be careful here so you dont get the newest update if you have a 3g. EIther way do this: im opting to stay with 2.2 (5g77) so look for 2.2 quickpwn program and get the matching firmware 2.2 download them to desktop next open itunes take your puter wifi off so it dont update, feed itunes your 2.2 ipsw file shift and choose off desktop (ipsw looks like a lego) next let it restore. after this close itunes and run your quickpwn and done.

you get it working yet? you need to restore fresh in itunes, close itunes and feed it 2.2.3 ipsw in itunes i unlock alot of iphones around here and have seen that damn screen " not correct sim" its a bad problem. the phone seems to activate and like the sim thats in it. itunes restore deletes that. take sim out and restore. Load up quickpwn try again. i feel bad for all these people buying jailbroken phones off ebay as soon as they put the sim in it wont take it. email me sibby@sibby.net

dude why did you upgrade in the first place? People whining now should have shut off auto update in itunes. As it was stated if you read - there will most likely be NO yellowsnow for 2.30. Anyone one hear news about the iphone2 thats being pushed out?
