Are there any solar panels attached to the home? Is this how it is so "green"? I haven't found any information about this, but haven't dug around too much either.

I think you have made a couple of very good observations. It's kind of a mess. My problem with the house it the fact that there is no powder room on the main level. I'm guessing one could add facilities into the laundry room, but then you'd have to add a wall to divide the space. Very strange. I'm from the midwest where air conditioning is built into all new homes, so is there not one in this home? I didn't even think about the tower room becoming a sauna during the summer. I had imagined moving my 3rd child up there. Perhaps this is a house for a very young couple with only 1 child. The architects definitely didn't take into consideration the practicality of the home.
