IDN Talk : Congrats J-Seed for New Japanese incubator Venture Generation

I can\\\'t really put words that are not from them. J-Seed is a venture company that helped start WIXI and lots of other tech companies. WIXI on the other hand is a domain company. They have been part of the JP domaining industry for over ten years. They know about & fully support IDNs. One of the things that I can say that me & the guys at WIXI talk about are great examples. Examples of use, sales or other things for domains in general for Japan.

IDN Talk : One month results in development

Hey Jeff After a few more site's I'll post examples. I'm using Wordpress mainly but I buy lots & lots of commercial plugins & scripts. We should be spending less on domains & more on making domains make money for us. I've constantly said things like this from day one. It's great for Sales if the sales channels are there but it's not 100% there yet for IDNs. If I'm wrong about that maybe you guys know more on where sales are happening. Later I'll try to list some of my favorite wordpress plugins.

You can just look through the Wordpress Plugin Directory & search for \\\"IDN\\\". There\\\'s about 10 plugins that show up whereas before there were only 3 or 4.

IDN Talk : Adam Dicker and DNForum are on fire!!

I personally don't think it's bad if people don't mass acquire generic twitter names. Marketing on Twitter is considered different than SEO. At least match the twitter name for your brand as a minimum. I have the twitter user name for most of my important domains that I want to develop myself, maybe later I'll write a post on tips for getting the twitter acounts for your domains.

Thanks for reading but I can\\\'t post an email that Google sends to the Ad Agency I work for. Since I work SEM (paid search advertising) we got the notice a few days before google\\\'s their layout changed last week. It was a Japanese notice about this and many of the changes were already done when I first wrote about it but the Unicode for said it will change in the very near future. I thought since the other changes were done the idn display urls were too. Unfortunately it wasn\\\'t. Currently the display URL is the second line of the ad which makes it stand it more. Making it Japanese would make it stand out even more if it\\\'s a high conversion keyword.

IDN Talk : Understanding why your search volume went up suddenly

Yeah I think many of you own very good domains where naturally some natives see as a great name to brand their site. Some of them don't even remember IDNs but naturally think "Prime Keyword".com or .jp would make their site popular.

Thank you for reading. Google does have a good market share. It caters to different Japanese users too compared to Yahoo. The numbers aren't 100% correct always though for search volume but I didn't want to use the Yahoo Keyword Tool as an example because only agency workers or advertisers have access to it. The Yahoo tool gives the search volume for the prior month & is updated regularly. Google seems to spread the numbers for the year & present the average. This doesn't work for seasonal keywords. The Yahoo Tool gives the Keyword 360,000 searches for November exact match. Before Yahoo Japan released the 3 new Keyword tool Google was all everyone had so I don't use it much personally but for people who are using it, for seasonal keywords you have to check Google trends/insight too. Many of you have great seasonal names in other languages by looking at the trend/Google insight data you can plan for when your domain will have an uplift in traffic. I'm hoping my research will help you all in the languages/markets you choose to invest in.

IDN Talk : Development don't think sites think Network

I should have stated that the ASCII domain which is still good only gets about 3 to 5 visitors a day. The IDN for example is over 350 uniques. Strength of the network helped the IDN rank really quicker.
