Remington 870 Express. Nice shotgun: inexpensive, strong, reliable, easy to use. Mine has been the demise of at least two pit bulls so far.

Well JoeBlowMe, I was in the military, and I can tell you that there is an expense reporting system for personnel who travel. I've used it several times.

I agree it is very petty sticking them with a charge that was covered under the contract. And as a vet, I have immense respect for these guys and what they do. But come on. They will be reimbursed for the charge. This is really being blown way out of proportion.

IdiotWow - Taxpayers pay for everything, soldier's pay, soldier's travel, soldier's food: everything for the military comes from us. I GET IT!!! All these guys have to do is put in an expense report and get the $200 back. Idiot.

That's not the point. So they had to use thier own money. Big deal, I had to too. But when I got back to my base, I submitted an expense report and was reimbursed the full ammount.

There's a system in place to deal with this situation, I'm saying they should just use it instead of trying to make everyone all up in ams about this. This is not newsworthy.

Way back in the day, (1994) Oregonians voted in Measure 18 making it unlawful to use dogs to hunt cougars. I remember the ads that blitzed my T.V. that year, showing vido clips of cougars being chased by dogs, one falling out of a tree to the feet of the big bad dogs that chased them. The video was of course made to develop sympathy for a wild predator. It was all really too much to take. Fast forward many years, and cougars have been sighted in urban areas for a while now, and now we have people saying "Oh no, we can't have this. How did this happen, kill those cougars before they get my kids." There has to be a balance between predator and prey. Hunting a cougar, a cat that hunts you back, is not an easy thing and is best done with a dog. While the cougar population has exploded since measure 18, the number of legally hunted cougars taken have gone from 41% successful hunt to less than 1% success.

Measure 18 was a timebomb. Maybe now we can do something about it. It just takes some motivation, like seeing your kids carried off into the woods by a cougar. Wake up Oregon!

So, put it on your expense report. That's what I always had to do. Big deal.

Ok, battery theory 101: A battery has a finite lifespan, and that lifespan decreases with every charge/discharge cycle. That lifespan decreases much more per high amp charge cycle. There's no way most people are going to spend the hours it takes to do a normal charge on thier car while traveling, everyone will do the rapid charge. I need to find out who's making the batteries for cars and buy some stock!
