There is a place for this discussion but providing healthcare isn't something that the federal government can constitutionally do. Nor is it something they can do effectively - the stories about socialized medicine are true!

This is something that should be addressed by the individual states. This keeps control and oversight in the hands of the people that are served and that pay for it. States like California would need to prioritize their spending rather than relying on other states to foot the bill through federal funding based on cronyism and political favors.

Treaties must comply with the Constitution. One problem will be finding the resources to fight this if it passes but the greatest danger will be the existence of 'empathetic' judges on the Supreme Court that will rule in favor of the administration's 'compassionate' wishes instead of the law.

REID v. COVERT - "There is nothing in this language[Article VI] which intimates that treaties and laws enacted pursuant to them do not have to comply with the provisions of the Constitution."

The paperback version of Johah Goldberg's "Liberal Fascism" is on sale today. (Glenn mentioned it on his show yesterday). This is very sad - 42% think health care is a right? Rights are NOT granted by governments or men. No one has a 'right' to the labor of another. Doctors, nurses and physical therapists are not our indentured servants. Who do you believe has a right to the fruits of your labor? This is a belief of Totalitarianism.

It is like not being able to pay your mortgage so you put it on the credit card. Sure things are great until the next month, then you owe TWO months plus interest! What have we done to our kids!

The REAL problem with ACORN is their role in the census. It is no secret why they were given this job. By lying about the actual number of people in Democratic precincts, they can effectively and fraudulently increase the number of Democratic politicians in local as well as national government offices. How can anyone think there will ever again be a fair election in this country?

I read this swine flu has genes from Avian flu, human flu and swine flu normally found in Europe and Asia. Is this true and if so, what are the odds of that happening by chance?
