Seriously, while a neither comments were necessary, it does bring up the point that helmets are protective gear, like Kevlar and leather. I ride and always wear a helmet, as does my husband as well as Kevlar, etc. We have invested way too much in our educations not to, I cringe when I see people riding in shorts and flip-flops. To each his own I suppose. Unfortunately riders must be extremely cautious these days, not even counting mechanical failures. Agreed?
