I'm in love with the solar panels! I would love to have the ability to save money and the planet, at the same time. Here are a few questions for Jeff: How much of the projected energy consumption of the house can be supplied from the solar panels? Is the artificial turf pet-friendly, or would your pets have to do their business elsewhere? Is there a basement in the home? What green feature of the home do you wish you could have in your house?
Gail is amazing! We love you! The kids and I are all over recycling, especially my son who loves to create artwork from things we were going to throw away. We have an organic vegetable garden. We turn off lights and don't leave the water running. It's the small things that make a difference! Are we supposed to give our email addresses here?? I'm not sure but don't want to risk missing out so mine is email@example.com. Good luck everyone!
So exciting! The backyard landscaping sounds beautiful, but where are the pics?? I can't wait to see the finished home.
I think we've taken the art of waiting to a whole new level! Oh, man, do I need a new clue (or heaven forbid, the reveal!)....I think even my fingers have fallen asleep. Let's all repeat together: "Patience is a virtue, patience is a virture, patience is a virtue." Aaacckk!
Thanks for the weblink....very cool. And it's not pathetic to fall in love with these homes! We all do it, and one day one of us bloggers will win!
I feel the same way!
I just checked out the Ben & Jerry's website which was so fun! My 4 year old loved it and I'm craving a pint right now....did you know the tours only cost $3 and the factory is located a mere 10 miles from Stowe, VT. So excited!!
I think Mary just wanted us to chill out.....maybe we'll have new info before the weekend, but I'm thinking maybe not. Ugh! The blog has slowed to a snail's pace.....oh well. Let's just enjoy life and one day we'll know where the next DH will be. I've given up hoping it's going to be as soon as we would like!
For me, the defining feature and crowning glory of this home is the staircase. It is reminiscent of an old lighthouse and gives the home it's character and charm! The sunlight filters down beautifully from the tower room at the top to illuminate the colored-lucite artwork that defines the lower staircase. Amazing design!
I think my favorite spot in the whole house is the Master Bathroom. I love the look of the exposed roof and the sophisticated but relaxing color scheme. Most bathrooms feature one window at best, but how beautiful are the windows in this bathroom that allow natural light to stream in without sacrificing privacy. It's a good thing that the bathroom incorporates water-saving features, because I can't imagine anything better than a long, hot shower under the amazing raincan shower head surrounded by the gorgeous white and blue tiles. Maybe the new owner (if it's not me!) would let me stop over and take a shower.....please!
