I agree with the other posts. No blacks in history have ever enjoyed what they do here in America! They have been given everything and America is still giving to them. The only people truly discriminated against anymore are whites in this country. Even if I am MORE QUALIFIED for a position, the black man (or woman) will get it because of Affirmative Action or a quote that has to be filled. Is this truly fair? Is this equality? I think not! Most slaves were not treated as bad as portrayed in movies like Roots. Regardless, this debt has been paid over and over again! The whites can throw more money at the situation, build better schools, give free college tuition, etc, but we cannot make anyone who does not want to earn a degree or anythig else. The situation among blacks as far as crime, illegitimacy, prison numbers, etc, is a black issue - not a white issue. They have EVERY opportunity to bring themselves up. The poorest kid in the poorest ghetto can leave, apply, and go to school or college for FREE but they MUST apply themselves and want to do it and most do not. Period. End of story.
