ACORN must be one of the most mismanaged community organizations this side of Iran. Basically they are saying they defended the guy before they saw the evidence. Then they took a look at the evidence and said: "never mind, he's fired".

My opinion is that last tape is less than convincing. Very odd and suspicious, but not convincing. Shouldn't they have had a proper investigation before they fired him? Normal procedure would be to put someone on "administrative leave". Perhaps ACORN knows more than they are letting on. Perhaps the top people in ACORN are well aware of illegal activity and are quickly trying to cover the evidence. Hence the office closings. Get the employees out so they can begin the cleanup? I wouldn't be surprised if we see ACORN workers showing up with "aspirin overdoses".

I think I know what the most popular Halloween costume will be this year!

This just doesn't make sense. Why aren't there any police reports, notes, emails, nothing!

Juan's story is half believable, and the compassionate side of me wants to believe him, but then where is the records of him trying to help? Emails? Letters? Phone records? Where is the police report? It just doesn't add up.

Here's something else that makes no sense at all...
Hot Hannah and pimp daddy Okeefe are right out of Starsky and Hutch show. If they came into my office, I guarantee everyone would know about it, because I would tell them. So why weren't these ACORN workers talking about this amongst other offices. Why wasn't there a bulletin posted, warning about them. Bertha says they were thrown out of dozens of offices. If ACORN is telling the truth, this operation should have been shutdown in the first two days. But no, they kept walking into office after office, for 6 weeks, wearing what amounted to halloween costumes, and asking for help smuggling child prostitutes. These people at ACORN are STREET SMART! How could they possibly all fall for this charade? The whole thing just defies any kind of logic. So either Bertha is telling the truth, but they are so incompetent that they kept zero records of any of it, or, the workers are really THAT stupid, and actually all fell for it. I can't wrap my brain around such incompetence or stupidity.

Not only H&R Block, but I think if you went into almost ANY business in the inner-city, you would be able to find unsavory characters. Even at a church or school I imagine. It's sad, but it's their culture and lifestyle. How many times have we seen blatant criminals elected by overwhelming margins by black voters? Obviously tax dollars shouldn't be going to ACORN or any other organization with such low standards. But it's not just ACORN that's the problem. ACORN is symptom of a much larger problem. If ACORN and all it's sub-entities vanished off the face of the earth tomorrow, nothing would change.

Once the dust settles, and level heads prevail, I think we will all realize this is not so much an expose' of ACORN, as it is a window into what this class of people is all about. And it ain't pretty. If they're willing to talk about child prostitution with a straight face, then clearly voter fraud isn't even on their radar as immoral or unethical.

You should watch it again. The reporters gave him their phone number in the first video. (Not that that really means anything). But like I said, this looks like it could go either way. Juan never said he would help. All he said was he had contacts in Tijuana. Their "act" on this video was ridiculous. No street smart mafia type would have bought it. It was WAY too obvious. In fact, if he really was "Mexican mafia", they might have got themselves killed. And it looks like Juan might have been recording them with his cell phone. Jim and Hannah might have pushed their luck too far with this. Damn sure no jury would convict of anything from this video.

Sorry, I'm not buying this one at all.... At no time did he offer to help them. He didn't ask for money. Seemed like there was a serious language gap, that limited his understanding. All he did was listen and ask questions! And it also seemed like he was trying to pump them for info to report to authorities.

The first 3 videos seemed pretty clear cut. Rotten nuts. This one is sketchy at best, and maybe just flat wrong. I'll go so far as to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was trying to get info to report them to the authorities.

I hope they have some facts that they aren't sharing, or they may have bit off a libel suit.

But, in their eyes, smuggling junior high aged kids for sex slaves was perfectly acceptable. To an honest moral person, like us, that is a difficult thought to wrap your mind around. It starts from an early age, so it it will take generations to break the cycle. Look at the beating on the school bus. Those kids cheered as some innocent kid got his face smashed in. At the age of 16, they are already basically wild animals. And I'm not specifically talking about blacks. Although this behavior seems to be prevalent with blacks, it certainly does happen in all races.

These reporters exposed what everyone already knew/suspected. They had the balls to go in there and get it on tape. But I suspect even they were surprised at how eager these people were to respond.

I'll get blasted for this, but I don't blame ACORN. This type of behavior is endemic in the inner-cities. I have no doubt that it goes on in many other orginizations besides ACORN. When you study the reactions of the workers, you realize this was simply business as usual. And not "ACORN" business as usual, but "socially" business as usual. Prostitution is not an uncommon profession in the inner-city. I grew up in the inner city, so I've seen it. I've also seen 3 generations living in one house, all on welfare. The daughter and the granddaughter both sucking the government teet. This lawlessness is not only "common" in the inner-city, it is "socially acceptable". That is the root cause of these problems. Until we change that value set, nothing will change. Unfortunately, now we have their king in the Whitehouse of ill repute.

Bertha is a total idiot. They fired the "reprehensible" employees. She said that the two reporters "did her a favor" by exposing the corruption to them. But then says she's going to sue them and have them prosecuted for libel. You can't make this stuff up. Hard to believe such big-mouthed incompetent people are spending our tax dollars.

That wack job is too stupid to dupe anyone. She embellished her actual criminal activity. That's not at all an uncommon personality trait. I've heard it myself. So now she's trying to say it was all made up, like a reverse sting. The truth of her will come out soon enough. She will be a "certified" wack job soon. And what about her friend across the street? Was he play acting also? He sure seemed real familiar with prostitution!

Why would all these people in different cities be so willing to go along with Jame's and Hannah's "play acting"? It just defies logic.
