I think I would have told the offended supervisor or anyone else offended by our flag to stay out of my office--then they wouldn't have to look at it.
He should have stood shoulder to shoulder with others facing tough election campaigns (Republicans and Democrats alike, and voted "no". It wouldn't have changed the outcome, but they would have at least appeared to be looking out for Joe American. That's what our Congressman did, and that's what he is saying.
I'm afraid I would have to see the whole quote. I've seen too many "out of context" quotes in this campaign to take a "......." at face value.
I think it important to note that although the "poorly crafted legislation" was passed during the Clinton years, it was crafted and passed by a Republican congress. The Democrates have only two years ago taken control of the Congress.
I would love to see the video. Any chance of putting it back up?
It was on CNN between 10:00 and 11:00
Last night on the news they went through a list of half-truths and outright lies told by the McCain campaign. Tonight they are going to do the same with the Obama campaign. I will be sure to listen. It seems there is a lot of it going on on both sides
No. 1 I am not picking at her for getting earmarks, I am picking at her for lying about it.
No. 2 I did not compare her to my daughter's character, just to her habit of lying. I wish you could get past your Republicanism to see it too. I say just like "once a cheater, always a cheater" then once a liar always a liar.
Sorry about the typo on gesturing. Didn't proofread.
I see Oback Obama gestering "out in the distance" as he said. He is not pointing to the sky, unable to raise his arms. Your guys are grabbing at straws--anything to coverup the lies that have been coming from McCain and his hottie vice-presidental candidate. She has been repeating the same tired speech for a couple of weeks now, even though even Time magazine says she didn't say "thanks, but no thanks" until after Congress has killed her pork project. Also, she is not taking questions from the press. What is she afraid they are going to ask--perhaps about the investigation of her going on in Alaska? McCain says she never took any pork projects during her term as governor. Not so. She did cut them in half, but she still took $197 million.
