Anytime I feel the " temptation to surround ...(myself).. exclusively with like-minded people", all I have to do is tune the TV to network news, CNN, MSNBC, etc. No "like-minded people" there.

Stepping back from the specifics of the Mid-East itself, I wonder why anybody would trust Obama about any promise or assurance he makes. He obviously says what he thinks the audience wants to hear, then acts as he perceives is expedient.
When one's existence is in constant jeopardy (as is Israel's), placing one's trust on Mr. Obama, that most inconstant of men, is too much of a risk.
As a non-Jew, I fear for Israel each day this Administration is in power. I hope that more Jewish voters come to see the urgency of getting principled leadership in the United States to maintain relations with all our important allies. If that makes me "blindly pro-Israel", so be it.

The only cleansing light I'd like to see from him is through the entrance and exit wounds.

You can include this Catholic American with those who honor the memory of Daniel Pearl and who stands with Israel against our enemies.
Daniel Pearl's death was that of a true martyr, true to his identity as a Jew to the last.
I use the words "true martyr" to distinguish him from the Islamic fanatics. Those individuals are actually suicidal murderers who choose to kill themselves and others, as if it were possible to "martyr" oneself. They pervert the language just as they pervert their own religion. They should be called on it every time they use the term.

Gotta love the irony of people who idolize the Kennedys having the nerve to target anybody's personal life.

Someone should ask them why they didn't interview Mary Jo Kopechne.

What's next? An nterview with a dog he kicked once?

If the interview were taking place on my porch, I would close the blinds. I live and vote in South Carolina. I won't watch ABC News anyway. I don't care what Newt's wife has to say about him. I don't intend to vote for him, unless he is the eventual nominee.
I would vote for Henry VIII if he ran against Obama even if ABC interviewed all his ex-wives.

Except for his immediate family, why would anybody give a damn what Harry Belafonte thinks? He is just a bitter old has-been. He's unhappy with a country which has made him very rich in return for his mediocre talents.
