The possiability of abuse was the first thought in my mind when I heard about this story. No one except the family knows what went on in that home, domestic abuse happens every single day in America. Calling the police, filing for PPO's, ect RARELY (I would go so far as to say almost never) stops the abuser. If you haven't been there, believe me, you have no idea. People keep saying the deceased Mr. Stokes was a convicted felon and shouldn't have had a gun -- I don't know where the convicted felon part came from, but loaded guns in a house full of kids sounds like a scare tactic that an abuser would use. I don't understand how a 13 year old is being tried as an adult, when a 13 year olds mind does not function as an adult mind does. Either way, this whole thing is a tragedy for both the Stokes' & the Mann's families. But then, that's just my opinion. On Sunday nights when its 18 & up you can't even bring your purse inside. Security is pretty decent, they squash any fights that break out pretty quickly inside the bar & are quick with the pepper spray to clear it out. However its the cheapest place in town to get messed up on the weekend, you don't even have to buy a beer, just stand by the dance floor for your free contact high! Totally reeks like weed from about midnight til closing time. The parking lot at closing isn't any differant than it is at any other club in GR, people congragate there til security or the police eventually get them to leave.
