We are so fortunate to have this man as our head football coach here at Iowa. He never fails to represent our beloved Hawkeyes with class. He personifies the Hawkeye values we all hold dear. Way to make us proud Coach Ferentz. One game at a time to the promised land, go Hawks!
I think Josh did a great job with the Today Show interview--he is a well-spoken young man and a lucky one too---thankfully he wasn't seriously hurt! As a side note to the whole incident, this was good advertising for the Iowa FB program. One game at a time to the promised land, go Hawks!
That a boy Paki, that a boy! I'm so glad to see Paki O'Meara get some positive attention for his contribution to the Hawkeyes' recent success, he's the type of player who is happy to do whatever it takes to unselfishly help the Hawks win. And he seems to be able to ignore the snarky comments on various sites about his RB abilities. He is the kind of ultimate team player which is a hallmark of the Coach Ferentz era. One game at a time to maybe the sweet smell of roses, go Hawks!
I got out of the score prediction "business" last year when all the Hawks seemed to do was win by a much closer margin than I thought it was going to be. I don't know if the Hawks will win easily or not as far a the scoreboard is concerned, but I agree with Coach Ferentz that it figures to be a very tough game. Alll they have to do is win, and it would be way nice if they looked good doing it. One game at a time to the promised land, go Hawks!
I know many Hawkeye fans have dreams of a possible run to the National Championship game, but I am dreaming of a run to that grandaddy of them all of which you speak Mike. On my bucket list is a trip to the Rose Bowl and a WIN. Hey, we can always go to the NC title game next year, right? But first, one game at a time to maybe smell some roses, go Hawks!
I'm very glad Josh is going to be OK, life does indeed involve risk! On the other hand, there's something comforting about knowing there's a Ferentz ready to make his first start at center. One game at a time to the promised land, go Hawks!
I just can't wait, it's going to be another fun season! I like your five reasons a lot, but I wouldn't be surprised if a little player named Jewel turns out be a real gem this season. One game at a time, go Hawks!
I hope Nate Kaeding's new place is open at the old Melrose Market so I can help our economy by buying at least one cold Fosters. One game at a time, go Hawks!
I like your proposed divisions a lot swessdawg! But I have to admit I like just about any divisions which put Iowa and tOSU in different divisions. Playing the Bucknuts less often and not having to compete with them to make it to the title game would NOT hurt my feelings a bit. One game at a time, Go Hawks!
I’m REALLY EXCITED for the coming FB season, although I’m always a bit wary of super high expectations for my beloved Hawkeyes. Can this coaching staff and this group of young men ignore their press clippings and just get better each week? Can this group of Hawks put away more teams before the last quarter? If they can’t put them away early, can they win the close ones like they did (most of the time) last season? I know most everyone wants to have the Hawks get to the NC game, but I would surely "settle" for a WIN in the ROSE BOWL this season and then worry about the national title next season! Stay tuned, it should be another very exciting ride. Go Hawks!
P.S. I'm not going to worry about what Playboy thinks of our team, but i AM going to buy the SI Big Ten Preview edition. I just can't wait for this season to begin!
