for years I thought the winemakers were untouchable - gods amongst men.... and now i see Chuck Wagner the creator of some of the most amazing Cab I've ever had - Caymus - as a farmer and teacher and most of all regular person. Frank I love your work because it Humanizes the celebrities of the wine world.

Frank Loves Wine : Tom Burgess: Living the Dream since 1972

Now Tom was an amazing man to meet. I have to say he's like a pillar of American society. I imagined him in the 70's as a John Wayne character. Flying airplanes for the Air Force and traveling the world. I still want to know what encouraged him to buy a land of grapes, wine and dreams and spend the rest of his life dedicated to farming them, blending them and creating the fruit of life. WINE!

Frank Loves Wine : What's Your Conundrum?

Hey Kevin, I recently tried the Pinot from Sokol and really Loved it - So I would be interested in Checking out the Evolution. Seen the label before. The Folie a Deux's Menage a trios used to be tasty but know I feel like they've gone down in quality... Thanks for the advice and comparisons...

Frank Loves Wine : What's Your Conundrum?

Sometimes I wonder how a sweet white wine would go with a good Charred piece of Pork Ribs. I wonder if we can take a bottle to that Baby Blue BBQ place - Yummm That would be fun~ Thanks for the info - PS I really enjoyed the simplicity of the explanation regarding the Twist Top =) In my New and growing love for wine - I've been disheartened when I've opened up a corked bottle of $40+ I don't exactly have a cellar - nor do I buy cases of wine - So that means I'm screwed on that bottle - down the drain it goes..... Breaks My Wine Spirit just a little bit at a time. But now I know Twist is also good and not my high school Boons Farm Drinking Flashbacks.... ZOINKS!
